Dave Hause’s songs have always been rooted in tangible reality—of emotion, of environment, of circumstance. Since releasing his debut album, Resolutions, in 2011, the Philadelphia-born songwriter has poured his whole heart, soul and life into his music. That’s no different on Drive It Like It’s Stolen, his sixth full-length. Its 10 songs overflow with Hause’s trademark urgency and passion, shimmering with a truth that reflects the harsh realities of life in this day and age, as well the intermittent jolts of joy that punctuate it. After all, his songs have always detailed his own personal traumas and triumphs within the setting of an unforgiving capitalist backdrop, tethering those personal experiences to ineluctable external forces. 2013’s second album, Devour, for example, was a response to his divorce from his first wife, while 2019’s Kick saw him tackle hope, depression, global warming and a crumbling American democracy with the news that he was to become a father. Most recently, on 2021’s Blood Harmony, Hause wrote and sang about the positive impact of having twins, and of the joy and excitement of being able to be at home with them for the first couple of years of the pandemic.
Drive It Like It’s Stolen is just as earnest and heartfelt, raw and real as anything he’s ever written before. Yet there’s also a subtle yet significant difference—here he’s delving into a more fictional type of storytelling to create what he terms "post-apocalyptic Americana”. That’s clear from the title of this album’s haunting and ominous opening song, “Cheap Seats (New Year’s Day, NYC, 2042)”. Set two decades in the future, it’s obviously not about anything that’s actually happened, but is still very much inspired by life. At the start of 2022, Hause was in a good place. He’d changed his diet and had maintained a strenuous workout regimen resulting in improved physical and mental health. Feeling great, he’d decided to go off Lexapro and left to go out on the Blood Harmony band touring.
“I was feeling great,” he recalls. “I came back to work, didn’t have my meds. But then I’m on tour, I’m not working out, I’m not eating that way anymore. And I’m really faced with the American city, the American experiment post-pandemic. We’re going places and being like, ‘Oh, my God, this is what Portland and San Francisco and Los Angeles look like.’ And it looked terrifying. Whenever I went anywhere, I felt like I was watching the prequel to 12 Monkeys, except I was also living it and just wondering what the fuck was going on. The tour was doing well, but it just felt like my mental health was falling down stairs. A few months later, when we were finishing the tour, we heard stories that people were siphoning gas out of tour buses. So, a lot of the record was kind of born of and trying to wrestle with that.”

Kray Van Kirk, Larry Murante & Allison Preisinger
An evening of folk Americana on 6 & 12-string guitar concerning heroes and hope, so that absolutely everyone, of every identity and history, can know that they are not alone but have a verse in the shouted poetry of dawn.

A fine finger-style guitarist with a precise baritone, Kray Van Kirk has a Ph.D. from the University of Alaska, but he set science aside to write songs, tell stories and summon heroes."We are driven by myth and the seasons of the heart," he says, "and the stories are all true. There is a dark cave inside each of us, and monsters of all kinds lurk there, all the more lethal for being hidden. The quest is to journey inside, render the monsters powerless, find whatever it is that burns at the core of your soul and bring it back into the light. In a world divided it is critical to write songs and tell stories that show absolutely everyone they get to be the hero. Nobody is left behind."
When he reached Scotland and the Fringe Festival, the Daily Fringe Review wrote ìThe evening's act was Kray Van Kirk, whose 12-string guitar and soaring vocals were spellbinding; the Alaskan singer-songwriter, in his Edinburgh debut, was not the reason I arrived early, but was certainly why I stayed late."
Of this charming, Quixotic and eclectic performer, the Borderline Folk Club in New York wrote that Van Kirk was "what every singer-songwriter should aspire to."
Singer-songwriter Larry Murante has a well-earned reputation as one of the Northwests finest contemporary singer/songwriters with the accolades and dozens of regional, national, and international awards to back it up.
Murante is well known for his soaring, mellifluous tenor, strong rhythmic guitar style, and engaging stage presence. He performs both originals and cover tunes. His award-winning original songs feature beautifully woven stories about everyday folks. They combine compassionate, socially conscious lyrics with an upbeat, joyful folk-rock style.
Allison Preisinger is a Tacoma-based performing songwriter and Berklee College of Music graduate known for her evocative, Americana-infused sound against the background of many influences including Iron & Wine, Tom Petty, and Gillian Welch. Her most recent release, Standing Steady, is a heartfelt exploration of stillness and simplicity, intertwining her music with poems from various poets to create a deeply personal and therapeutic work. She is also known for her unique collaborations, including her recent work on an album produced by The National Park Service, where she contributed to a song honoring Olympic National Park. A multi-instrumentalist with a passion for storytelling, Allison aspires to use her art to uplift, connect, and share the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

Sam emerged in the PNW in 2010 as a burgeoning creative force, dabbling in everything from songwriting and composing to audio engineering and production. During a prolific 5 year stint in Seattle, WA, Miller performed extensively and collaborated on releases from Sean Nelson (Harvey Danger), Benjamin Verdoes (Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band), Ravenna Woods, and Shenendoah Davis. Miller went on to perform and create in the NYC and LA area music scenes, releasing multiple full length albums focusing on his talents as a solo pianist and composer since COVID. Matt Badger is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Seattle, WA. He's known as the drummer for numerous prominent Seattle bands (Ravenna Woods, Widower, Benjamin Verdoes, Seattle Rock Orchestra) but arrived on the scene as an artist in his own right, debuting his first original solo release in 2020.
Sam and Matt’s new album, Shiprock, is an all instrumental collection of songs showcasing the balance and musical cohesion of these two songwriters over the years. The project started as a remote collaboration with the two sending each other demo tracks over the cloud and building the album piece by piece in their respective home studios. The album took shape in the Seattle studio, Psychoacoustics Recreational Lab, where the duo laid down the raw tracks to what would be Shiprock in a single weekend. During the session, the two invited long-time bandmate and music video director Chris Cunningham/Dark Details (Danny Elfman, Head and the Heart, Blood Brothers, Ravenna Woods), to shoot the video for their debut single, Sunglint, which surpassed 1 million views worldwide in its first two weeks. The 9-song album features performances by cellist Lori Goldston (Earth, Terry Riley, Nirvana, David Byrne) and Eric Padget (Kay Kay and His Weathered Underground) on Flugelhorn. Padget also played multiple roles as live engineer and mixing engineer.
Intisaar is a Seattle-based performing and recording artist of Palestinian and Armenian descent. In addition to recording and performing her unique brand of alternative indie folk/rock, she is also the curator of the fundraiser series Radio Gaza, a bi-annual celebration of local Seattle music, art and Palestinian culture, with all proceeds benefiting the Palestine Children's Relief Fund. Known for her wide vocal range, and emotive, dynamic melodic style, Intisaar brings power, meaning, and heart to every performance.
Leeni is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Seattle, WA. She is the writer & front-person for the bands Prom Queen and Stargazr and has also made many solo electronic albums under her name Leeni. Thom Jurek at All Music said it best, "Only Gram Parsons' term "Cosmic American Music" begins to touch her mercurial, changeling roots aesthetic, ... McNally is a Zen-like, post-Beat song poet”. For those who have followed McNally’s nearly twenty year career the thing that most sticks with the listener about her, is the timeless effortlessness that she brings to all she does. With a long catalog and longer list of peers with whom she has written, recorded and toured, McNally continues to turn out great music that defies blatant genre-fication.
At home across the American (Americana) music spectrum, the Grammy nominee who’s live music career began on the jam band circuit of the 1990’s with bands like Robert Randolph and Derek Trucks, writes as well as she interprets the songs of others, has a top tier musicality to her craft, a soul stirring voice that immediately grabs one by the heart strings and a troubadour’s wanderlust, not to mention as it turns out, she is also an excellent electric guitar player.
Like her anti-hero heros J.J. Cale, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan. Dr. John, and Jim Dickinson, McNally knows who she serves. She serves the song. Her quiet but steady plodding through the many layers of the business of music, hasn’t ever been rewarded with massive fame and fortune but in time that slow burn has become the treasure in and of itself.
Singer/Songwriter Max Gomez grew up in Taos, New Mexico, where he fell under the influence of country blues early on and developed a songwriting style that was uniquely his. As a budding performer, Max apprenticed in the rarefied musical micro-climate of northern New Mexico, where troubadours like Michael Martin Murphey and Ray Wylie Hubbard helped foster a Western folk sound both cosmic and country.
He received critical acclaim upon the release of his debut album Rule The World (2013, New West Records); and his subsequent EP, Me and Joe (2017, Brigadoon Records), contained a freshly minted classic, “Make It Me.”
He has shared billing on hundreds of stages with stalwarts of the genre like James McMurtry, Buddy Miller, John Hiatt, Patty Griffin, Tommy James & The Shondells, Jeff Beck, and Johnny Depp. Judging by the company he keeps, Gomez is poised to emerge as a prominent voice of Americana’s next generation. The forthcoming album, Memory Mountain, is set to be released in August 2025.

Chicago Folk / Americana singer / songwriter, Steve Dawson, has been called “one of the most underrated songwriters in American music,” who writes, “graceful, poetic songs akin to a volume of great short stories in their precise, exacting wordplay and soulful heartache.” Dawson has released six albums with his long-time band, Dolly Varden, and six solo albums, including 2021’s “At The Bottom Of A Canyon In The Branches Of A Tree,” and 2024’s, “Ghosts,” both on Pravda Records. Originally from San Diego, California, he spent his teen years in Hailey, Idaho, where he learned guitar and started writing songs. After a few years at the Berklee School of Music in Boston, Dawson moved to Chicago and formed the band, Stump The Host, with his future wife, artist and singer, Diane Christiansen. Dawson also teaches songwriting at the legendary Old Town School of Folk Music and co-wrote a book on songwriting and the creative process with Mark Caro called, “Take It To The Bridge: Unlocking The Great Songs Inside You.”
Avant-garde classical composer? Freak-folk singer-songwriter? Postmodern jazz interloper? Recently eschewing electronic instruments for a banjo, Eaton’s music is colored by her eclectic musical expertise, spanning the Renaissance lute, 20th century post-tonal harmony, American minimalism and frontier songs of the American west. Her “disconcertingly lovely” (Seattle Weekly) compositions are “unconfined by genres and musical classifications” (V13 Media), combining her “glass-like voice” (Earshot Jazz) with folk roots and avant-garde chamber music.

World-renowned Beatles tribute band Apple Jam is best known for curating and developing Beatles music outside of the official canon. Apple Jam / Beatles Sessions is a six show concert series hosted by Seattle's famed Rabbit Box Theatre on select Monday nights from August 25 through December 1. You'll hear music from the entire Beatles catalogue (including solo years), performed in an astounding Fab4 style! Every show will be included favorites, deep cuts, and rarities.
According to The Stranger's Dave Segal, "Apple Jam are possibly the most arcane Beatles tribute band in the world. While most of these Moptop manqués are content to replicate the best-known songs from the Fab Four's rich catalog (not that there's anything wrong with that), Apple Jam dig way deeper ... Apple Jam have the skills to recreate the Beatles' melodic magic and vocal sonority in order to spotlight the obscure corners of their evergreen output."
Far beyond other Beatles tribute bands, Apple Jam delivers unrivaled Beatles-infused musicianship and world-class showmanship, without wigs, costumes or accents. They approach Beatles music with enormous respect and devotion, and their jaw-dropping concerts must be experienced live to be fully appreciated. Apple Jam has performed at major venues on the West coast, the United Kingdom, and Finland.
Apple Jam's acclaimed album discography showcases Beatle-penned music outside of the official canon, and includes the following releases - "Off The Beatle Track" (2009), "On The Wings Of A Nightingale" (2012), "Off The White Album" (2018), and most recently "Beatley" (2024). This catalogue is available all major streaming platforms worldwide.
Apple Jam was formed in 2005, in support of "(Just Like) Starting Over", a stage play based on John Lennon's final interview. Apple Jam's line-up includes: Rick Lovrovich (guitar), Kelly Van Camp (drums). Johnny Jones (keyboards), Jakael Tristram (guitar), and Keith Lowe (bass).

Armour / Connor Cash Colbert / Sister Swimmer
The Rabbit Box presents Armour / Connor Cash Colbert / Sister Swimmer
Oct. 4th / Doors 7pm / Music begins at 8pm

What Rob Moura hopes you hear when you press play on his music is a familiar language rendered alien. True to his Seattle-based surroundings, the songs he performs as Armour are verdant and waterlogged, and they move with dark clouds permanently affixed above them. With his featherweight vocals and labyrinthine guitar structures, Moura’s music may at first recall the classic folk of Nick Drake. His songs dip just as deep into melancholy waters, and they look around as much as they do inward. But Moura’s characters are victims of the present era, and so they strive to disengage from the uncomfortable, inconvenient facets of their humanity: the thrum of heartache, the sting of heartbreak, the dull pang of regret, the weight of familial trauma, and the chains of faith.
Connor Cash Colbert is a songwriter and poet living on the unceded, traditional lands of the Duwamish people past and present in Seattle. He's a member of the alt-folk band False Hemlock, an editorial assistant at Poetry Northwest, and Hannah's dad.
In emerging artist, Sister Swimmer’s new EP, “The Horizon Line Swallowed Us Whole”, the boundary between dream and memory fizzles and sputters, dissolves into a hum of static. In the inevitable natural disaster of experience—did you forget your body, again? Do we trust the vessel that carries us forward? Is it really love or did you just want to feel safe? Project creator Britt Amborn’s voice wavers and waxes poetic within these questions, using music as a salve to turn emotional injury into relational fortitude, as a tool to move forward from her own obsessions with worry and place and longing and what stories the body claims for keeps. Sister Swimmer’s sonic landscape blends elements of indie rock and dream pop, venturing into darkly-lit territories of folktronica and shoegaze. At the heart of the project lies a fierce commitment to collaboration, where fellow Seattle-based artists each contribute a force of their own. Seattle producer and artist, Nicholas Ward of french tears & Hey Marseilles, brings his esteemed creative direction to the narrative with fuzzy guitars, captivating builds, and moody compositions that stir electricity in with inherent melancholy. In “Knuckles” and “Monster Song”, artist Jeremiah Moon’s cello propels the story forward, swinging the pendulum of emotionality between a anxious tightening of anticipation in the listeners’ chest, to a sentimental carrying that feels like a long exhale, a necessary release. Drummer Colin Richey lends a dynamic urgency to “No : Body”, along with the warmth and fiery grit of Austen Case on background vocals. Mike Vernon Davis’ engineering and mixing expertise adds a gravitational pull with textured, analog-inspired force. A testament to the EP’s accomplishment—Britt was selected by Sonic Guild to collaborate with local industry leaders on crafting an impactful community debut. “The Horizon Line Swallowed Us Whole” is a distorted investigation into what detaches self from story, in the dark mythologies we construct around memory and our lived-in experiences. In between the pull of sister swimmer's present-minded romanticism and nostalgia-drenched escapism—a glowing, beckoning horizon (a longing to be present to the body and tender with its history) is an ever-shifting daydream, a worthy pursuit.

Fox and Bones with Justin Farren presented by The Triple Door
The Triple Door presents Fox and Bones with Justin Farren at The Rabbit Box
Scott Gilmore and Sarah Vitort are Fox and Bones—energetic offbeat folksters with a retro-tinged, soul-stirring, modern vintage bent. The indomitable duo has brought their optimistic Americana polish to international stages shared with the likes of Rayland Baxter, The Dead South, ZZ Ward, Fantastic Cat and ALO among others.
Justin Farren writes multidimensional songs that are both enchanting and seemingly effortless. Songs that are uniquely personal but endlessly inventive and highly relatable. Songs filled with the kind of sudden twists and turns that you never see coming but will never forget.

The Triple Door presents Abigail Lapell at The Rabbit Box
“A disc of pure, impalpable beauty, weightless notes and melodies that pierce our hearts…. And the young woman, prey to a vagueness in the soul that she sublimates in a handful of magical songs, to offer us a twilight album, somewhere between Gillian Welch and Laura Veirs.” – Rolling Stone
Toronto songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Abigail Lapell returns with Anniversary, an evocative collection of original love songs. Produced with Great Lake Swimmers’ Tony Dekker, the album was recorded at 200-year-old St Mark’s Church in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Dekker helped shape the sessions’ spooky, resonant sound and also lent his voice to a couple of spellbinding duets.

JG Thirlwell ~ Silver Mantis
The Rabbit Box presents JG Thirlwell ~ Silver Mantis for a very special Halloween performance!
Oct. 31st / Doors 6:30pm / Performance begins at 7:30pm
$25 adv. / $28 door : https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/jg-thirlwell-2025-10-31-the-rabbit-box-theatre-seattle-2c7021
Silver Mantis is a 50 minute electro-acoustic presentation, performed with software and sampling, theremin and prepared piano. It is an immersive multi channel composition which allows for an elastic performance.
After my recent densely structured work with chamber ensembles, the inspiration behind Silver Mantis was to create a work incorporating live re-composition and improvisation into its structure, one which could expand and contract fluidly with flow and spontanaeity from pre-ordained building blocks of sound.
Incorporating musique concrète and electronic sound along with live instrumentation, the composition is dynamic, cinematic and diverse with stylistic left-turns, creating a tension between time and anxiety.
I perform it with a projection created exclusively for the project by acclaimed Swedish visual artist Sten Backman.
Silver Mantis has been performed at Roulette Intermedia in NYC, Cafe Oto in London, 2220 in Los Angeles, Colchester Arts Center UK, Melbourne Recital Center, Art Gallery of New South Wales, Timacua Arts Foundation in Orlando, Elastic Arts in Chicago and elsewhere.
JG Thirlwell is a composer/producer/performer based in Brooklyn, NY. Born in Melbourne, he moved to London in 1978, then relocated to NYC in 1983, where he has been based ever since. As well as his own name, he works under many pseudonyms including Manorexia, Foetus, Xordox, Steroid Maximus, Baby Zizanie, Hydroze Plus, Clint Ruin and Wiseblood.
He has released over thirty albums. If there is a common thread to his varied musical styles, it is a dramatic intensity and an evocative, cinematic quality. Thirlwell has also featured as producer, remixer, collaborator or arranger for a wide variety of artists including Karen O, Noveller, Zola Jesus, Helm, Mivos Quartet, Melvins, Swans, Nine Inch Nails, Lydia Lunch, Coil, Z’s, The The, Simon Hanes, Tony Oursler, Nick Cave and many more.
JG has completed commissions for Kronos Quartet, Bang On A Can, Alarm Will Sound, String Orchestra of Brooklyn, Alterity Chamber Orchestra, Experiments in Opera, Zephyr Quartet, Great Learning Orchestra, Dither, Jeffrey Zeigler, William Basinski and more. He is also an acclaimed graphic artist. In 2010, he received a fellowship from New York Foundation of the Arts in sound / composition. He has created sound installations which have exhibited in Santarcangelo, Kaliningrad and Gotland, and is a member of the freq_out sound art collective. He performs live with a chamber ensemble, with his multi-channel electro-acoustic “Silver Mantis” project and with his electronic project Xordox.
JG also creates the musical score for the Emmy-winning FX show Archer, and for Adult Swim / Cartoon Network show The Venture Bros, for which he was nominated for an Annie Award.

Andrea Wittgens with Braly Sangster

$15 adv. / $18 door : https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/andrea-wittgens-with-braly-sangster-2025-11-13-the-rabbit-box-theatre-seattle-cabab6
NYC-based alt-pop artist Andrea Wittgens is known for her dynamic performances and imaginative storytelling. Her gift for weaving darkly poetic lyrics into infectious pop songs draws comparisons to Kate Bush and St. Vincent.
A master keyboardist and hypnotic vocalist, her raw lyrical depth and cinematic sound have captivated audiences throughout her extensive touring across Canada and the US. Her songs have appeared on The CW, Paramount+ and Disney+ (Charmed, Melrose Place, 90210, Life Unexpected, Acapulco Shore). She most recently scored two award winning short films (Last Hope, Little Mouse). As a devoted collaborative songwriter, she is also a longtime member of both the Goffin & King Foundation and Wisconsin’s Steel Bridge Songfest communities.
She’s released six collections of original music since 2006. Her recent full-length album, “Big Dreams Little Earthlings” (2025), showcases Andrea at her most honest and vulnerable. Lavished in moody synths and soaring hooks, the 10-song collection was recorded in Joshua Tree, CA, with producer Ainjel Emme (Kim Gordon, Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and drummer/producer Anthony Lopez (The Voidz, Charli XCX). The critically acclaimed album is already a fan favorite—a love letter to the pomp and passion of the '80s synth pop of her youth, written by a woman who survived the decades that followed.
Braly Sangster, a musician based in Seattle, Washington, has performed at the Conor Byrne Pub and Pike Place Market. Sangster has collaborated with musicians including Cooper Point Rd, Keith Lowe, and Loose Wing.

His acoustic solo arrangements are very personal, derived from the different musical experiences Alberto has in rock, jazz, country and pop as a session player. Yet they're rooted in the style of the great Chet Atkins and Tommy Emmanuel. He digs into complex arrangements of Italian and american classics, translating them on the guitar (Georgia on my mind, Volare, 'O Sole Mio), picking up clever harmonic movements from those great arrangers and composers and making them his own, on the six string.
As a sideman Alberto has rocked stages as big as Italian Stadiums like Olimpico and San Siro, or Pavillao Atlantico in Lisboa. In his 25 years career he's worked with major Italian acts as a session player and record producer/arranger/mixer. He runs his recording studio called "Belairstudio" in Rome, Italy. https://www.albertolombardi.com/
Nile Rodgers, Madonna, Duran Duran, Bowie producer and mastermind of the band Chic: “the record is killing, such great musicianship!”
Tommy Emmanuel, one of the most influential guitar players of all times, with whom Alberto was lucky to play a few times, said about his first acoustic record: “It sounds beautiful and your playing and arrangements are very powerful! Big admiration to you!”

New Orthodox, Peaceable Kingdom with UAP, and special guest, Sheridan Riley
New Orthodox is "New american" music, not in sound but in participation. Led by New York state-based multi-instrumentalist Nicholas Merz, he invites collaborators within and beyond state lines such as Freak Heat Waves, Thor Harris, and Spencer Krug, to bring the work to life. Through a patchwork of disparate musical styles that borders on performance art, the project is focused on highlighting the human element of error, and creating as little distraction as possible around it. The band's ethos leans heavily into minimalist repetition, sonic experimentation, and lyrical insights that give way to live performances and recordings that utilize space and silence to imitate the human experience. The music is both intimate and grand, charged and claustrophobic, taking the tools of country and spinning them out of context.

It started 15 years ago and at that point was three generations of Sangsters playing music together with our dad and our fairly young (at that point) kids. Now the kids have flown the coop and it’s harder to make it happen but this summer we are doing it!!” - Johnny Sangster
"To those who think folk music has to be alt-folk or some other hybrid in order to be relevant in the 21st Century, no stronger rebuke to that notion could be o#ered than North Carolina’s Barton Carroll, a now-Seattle-based singer-songwriter of uncommon lyrical gifts and a low-"ame intensity that commands a listener’s attention even with all the other distractions of modern life." – The Bluegrass Special

$15 adv. / $18 door : https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/kinski-intercom-heights-2025-09-06-the-rabbit-box-theatre-seattle-9b8e70
Kinski’s journey through experimental melody and noise is a full-bore sensory thrill ride. Described by NME as “like Sabbath in a washing machine during a power surge,” Kinski is back to its original power trio format of Chris Martin (guitar), Lucy Atkinson (bass) and Barrett Wilke (drums).
After 25 years and nine albums, including a trio on Sub Pop and three for Kill Rock Stars, Kinski has toured internationally with the likes of Acid Mothers Temple, Mission of Burma, Dead Meadow, Comets on Fire, and somehow even Tool.
On their Comedy Minus One debut “Stumbledown Terrace,” (cmo055) Kinski continues their exploration of heavy, provocative guitar-driven songs, sonorous rhythms, and emotional release.
Recorded with legendary producer Tim Green at Louder Studios, their new album fully captures the unmatchable energy and power of Kinski’s live shows.
“One of the finest rock bands Seattle has produced.” – The Seattle Times
Intercom Heights is where modern indie cool meets cinematic nostalgia—an electric blend of gauzy guitars, hypnotic rhythms, and dual vocals that echo both past and present. The Austin, Texas based duo, Harris Thurmond (guitar, vocals) and Josie Fluri (bass, vocals), draw inspiration from shoegaze and dream pop icons while carving a sleek, modern edge all their own.
Equal parts dreamy and raw, Intercom Heights delivers soundtracks for the in-between moments—modern, magnetic, and made to get lost in.

St. Yuma - Seattle, WA\n\nEstablished in 2015 “St. Yuma” serves as the creative outlet for singer/songwriter Stevan Alva. Whether performing solo or with a band, the objective has always been to evoke emotional depth through music and sonic exploration, drawing inspiration from artists like Damien Jurado, Califone, Silver Jews, and Wilco. St. Yuma’s latest offering "Country Sleight of Hand" was crafted during and after singer-songwriter Alva's departure from Texas following the passing of his father, ultimately settling in Seattle, WA. The backdrop of Alva's new beginnings in Seattle provided an inspiring setting to confront and compose the new record. Thematically, the album delves into the complexities of death, love, and life's uncertainties. Recorded at The Unknown in Anacortes, WA, the album boasts a diverse sonic palette, beautifully captured and mixed by Marshall Pruitt of Austin, TX.
The Marrying Type is an eclectic folk, rock, dream pop project, hailing from Tacoma, Seattle and Bremerton. Showcasing the songwriting of singer/guitarist Nathan Smurthwaite(Fungal Abyss,Black Smoker) and offering the listener an opportunity to get lush and loud aswell as quietly lost in thought, cathartically pondering the abyss of emotions that life often is. The Marrying Type is complete with a collection of excellent local players, Benjamin Thomas Kennedy(BlouseUSA,SomeSurprises,Shitty Person)on drums, Ryan Weaver(KarolKarol,StradhoughtonEcho)on bass and his own offspring Dino Smurthwaite(Colour)on guitar.
Tiny Vipers is Jesy Fortino, a musician living in Seattle. Creating and performing the music for her new album with a singular approach, Life on Earth is a private vision unfolding, at times crystal-clear and at other times shrouded in a mystical fog. People and times past wander through these songs like ghosts looking for a home. And questions arise for anyone listening: Where did they go? Where have they been?

The Rabbit Box presents Chloe Gendrow with special guest, Arthur James, August 29th!
Doors 7pm - Music begins at 8pm

Montana-born, singer-songwriter, Chloe Gendrow, has carved out a unique space where raw emotion meets unfiltered storytelling, blending indie, alt-pop, and folk influences, while tying back to her Montana roots. Time spent living in Alaska has further fueled her exploration into new sonic and thematic territories, having been influenced by the heavy bluegrass and Americana scene up north. She continues to blur the lines between genre and emotion, crafting songs like “Smoke Break” and her March 28th release “Crying in Public”, that feel both deeply personal and universally felt. With over 17 million streams across platforms, Chloe’s music, at its root, is cathartic. It’s the emotional hangover, post-four-hour breakup conversation. The late night drives headed nowhere. The exhale when you finally get to where you’re going.
Her songs have taken her from the stages of Pilgrimage Festival in Nashville, to opening for Noah Cyrus in Missoula, MT and playing a sold out show in Bozeman, MT at Live from the Divide in March 2025. Chloe can’t wait to be out on the road full time showcasing her music and meeting new fans. Spotify | Instagram | YouTube

Madman Across the Water ~ Elton John Tribute
Madman Across The Water is a tribute to Elton John, orchestrated by Seattle-based artist and producer, Andrew Vait (SISTERS, Little Wins).
Aug. 30th / 4:30pm - 6:00pm
Free Admission / Donations - Tips at venue
The project will build on the energy and momentum of Vait's Fleetwood Mac tribute, The Little Lies, and, faithful to the mythos of Elton John, the show seeks to deliver an authentic and powerful live experience.
Vait carefully chose the words to describe the project, emphasizing that the focus will be on interpreting and upholding the unrivaled craftsmanship in songwriting and stage performance that is woven into Elton John’s legacy.
The project will honor the music of Elton John and is dedicated to the memory of Vait’s mother, who died in September of 2022 after a battle with cancer. Vait recalls listening to Elton John with his mom: “We would listen together and she would sing along while I learned the words.” The music instilled in Vait a deep sense of empathy and softness that has profoundly influenced his career as a performer and recording artist. https://madmanacrossthewaterpnw.com/

Port Velvet + Elliot Jackson
The Rabbit Box presents Port Velvet & Elliot Jackson
August 28th / Doors 7pm - Music begins at 8pm
$15 adv. / $18 door: https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/port-velvet-elliot-jackson-2025-08-28-the-rabbit-box-theatre-seattle-8c942e
Steeped in decades of experience in the music scenes of the Pacific Northwest, Port Velvet is the new indie post-punk synth-pop collaboration between Brent Knopf (founder of Menomena, Ramona Falls, El Vy) and Patti King (touring member of The Shins and Deep Sea Diver, Radiation City). After Patti's performance (with the Portland Cello Project) of Radiohead's "Climbing Up the Walls" gave Brent goosebumps, he reached out, and they instantly bonded over their love of authentic vocalists, the rich dynamism of vintage recordings, and the soundtrack to The Neverending Story. From the pair's magical blend of chaos and order, Port Velvet’s songs emerge with rich melodies, dance grooves, dynamic arrangements, and dark subjects.
Elliot Jackson is a multi instrumentalist artist based out of Seattle, WA. Known as the synthesizer/guitar player for the band Deep Sea Diver , Elliot brings the same atmospheres, textures, shapes and hooks leaning more into a world of discoed new age ambient soundscapes.

Apple Jam / Beatles Sessions
Apple Jam / Beatles Sessions concert series presented by Roseta Productions at Seattle's Rabbit Box Theatre shines a spotlight on the more obscure corners of the Beatles and solo years musical output.
August 25th / Doors 6:30pm / Music begins at 7:30pm
$15 adv. / $18 door: https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/roseta-productions-presents-apple-jam-beatles-sessions-2025-08-25-the-rabbit-box-theatre-seattle-01299b

Tony Furtado & Stephanie Schneiderman & Special Guests Hanz Araki with Sam Vogt
The Rabbit Box presents Tony Furtado & Stephanie Schneiderman & Special Guests Hanz Araki with Sam Vogt
August 15 / Doors 7pm / Music begins at 8pm
$25 adv. / $30 door: https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/tony-furtado-stephanie-schneiderman-with-special-guest-hanz-araki-2025-08-15-the-rabbit-box-theatre-s-f421b7
Tony Furtado and Stephanie Schneiderman, both veteran musicians - each with their own solo career and over 30 albums between them, are combining forces for an exciting evening fueled by music from each of their newest releases — Stephanie’s stunning and lush Crossfire and Tony's introspective, banjo centered Decembering.
Genre-spanning multi-instrumentalist Tony Furtado combines elements of folk, blues, and bluegrass into a potent Americana musical blend that explores our shared musical frontiers and traditions with fearless creativity. David Lindley calls Tony Furtado "a musical force without a doubt, " and the two-time national banjo champion and peerless slide guitar master has recorded nearly 20 critically acclaimed albums for such labels as Rounder Records, Dualtone, and Yousay Furtado Records. https://tonyfurtado.com/
Whether pursuing her prolific work as an award winning solo artist, playing drums for all-star indie rock act Swan Sovereign (formerly Dirty Martini), producing a humanitarian concert series for refugees in Uganda (raising over $70k) or acting, Stephanie Schneiderman is hands down one of the most diverse female singer-songwriters the Pacific Northwest has to offer. On Crossfire, her latest release, Stephanie combines her past sonic explorations—folk, Americana, trip-hop, and pop—into a beautifully dark and deeply introspective recording that is as lush as it is intimate. Crossfire is a self-released labor of lovethat celebrates her maiden voyage as a self-producer and is possibly her most compelling collection of songs to date. https://stephanieschneiderman.com/
Considered one of the most talented Irish musicians in America today, flautist, whistle player, singer, and Juno Award-winner Hanz Araki has been lauded by publications and audiences alike. Three decades of musical exploration into Irish, Scottish, Japanese, and American traditions has yielded his distinct style described by Fatea Magazine as “achingly beautiful.” As the sixth generation of his family to bear the title Araki Kodo, Hanz (short for Hanzaburo, his great-great grandfather’s name) spent his formative years mastering the Japanese end-blown bamboo flute. Discovering and relishing the melodic and mechanical similarities between shakuhachi and Irish whistle, Hanz applied his natural capacity and boundless curiosity to his Irish heritage. Taking advantage of the rich Irish music scene in Seattle, where he spent his youth, Hanz quickly became known for his exquisite instrumental work on both Irish whistle and flute and a haunting singing voice that was born to tell tales. https://www.hanzaraki.com/
Sam Vogt is a NW artist performing musician, “Tunes on low whistle, guitar, and more inspired by Irish and Scottish musical traditions” https://samvogt.bandcamp.com/album/whistle-tunes

Whitney Lyman is an American singer-songwriter who made her mark out of the illustrious music scene of Seattle and then Los Angeles. Her music is a unique blend of indie rock and alternative pop, featuring powerful and emotional vocals, inspiring lyrics, and dynamic arrangements. Often compared to Fleetwood Mac, Amy Winehouse, and Adele, Whitney crafts songs that are both deeply personal and universally resonant. Whitney has performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with Grammy-nominated ODESZA, opened for artists such as Tom Odell and The Bird and the Bee, and played at music festivals including Capitol Hill Block Party, the NAMM Show 2025 official stage, and Mastering the Music Business in Bucharest, Romania, and FOCUS:Wales. She has toured extensively across the US and Europe, earning acclaim for her evocative performances. Since her UK debut in 2024 Whitney Lyman received such a positive response from audiences she’s toured there three times within a year and is set to do her fourth UK/European tour in the fall of 2025 to keep up with the high demands of her quickly-growing fanbase. Whitney Lyman is endorsed by several top brands in the music industry, including Gibson Guitar, Telefunken Mics, Casio Keyboards, and Mackie Gear. www.whitneylyman.com
The Wild Gingers is a super group duo comprised of Seattle musicians Annie Jantzer and Charles Wicklander. The Wild Gingers combine their own style of dreamy zen music with a taste of soul and lush vocal harmonies to create a unique way to take the listener on a journey through the sonic cosmos. The Wild Gingers features Annie Jantzer on vocals and flute and Charles Wicklander on vocals and keyboards and was formed as a result of Annie and Charles improvising on flute and piano and quickly realizing that there was some magic to be harnessed and brought to the universe.
Seattle songwriter Debbie Miller is like a tantalizing book of short stories. In fact, there are few musicians who work as diligently as she to be as narratively engaging. Her lyrics, like tightrope walkers, rollick on the taut wire of song, guiltlessly and pointedly inspiring listeners who crave more of their spectacle. You might find yourself laughing, then crying, then laughing again - sometimes all in the same song. https://www.thedebbiemiller.com/

Adam Miller with Little H Collective
"Often compared to Charlie Hunter, Tuck Andress, Julian Lage and Tommy Emmanuel... The jazz harmony is there, but worked seamlessly into pieces that could almost be considered closer to instrumental pop" - Jazz Guitar Today "But it takes an impossibly gifted player to improvise independent melodies, harmonies, and bass lines—all at the same time—while maintaining an impeccable groove. Australia’s Adam Miller is one such rare phenomenon" - Premier Guitar Australian Instrumental guitarist Adam Miller released his 10th full-length album, TIMING, on April 18, 2025. Recorded in Los Angeles with the exceptional Joel Gottschalk on Bass and Justin Glasco on Drums, this album was recorded in just 5 hours before the trio performed a show in LA on the same day! Celestial Navigation was formed in 2013 out of a need for three seasoned musicians to create something truly unique. Hailing from Ankara, Turkey, Didem Somel (voice, strings, keys) is an award winning performer with vast experience in the symphonic and classical education realms. Robby Albrecht (drums, voice, production) grew up playing Rock-n-Roll, laying his funky grooves down all over the country. Glen Anderson (double bass) spent a few decades on the West Coast jazz scene as a ‘first call’ player. A Musical Tribute to Mike Katell
Mike Katell passed away on August 1st 2024 in London. Mike was a long time Seattle community member. In his years he composed and played tons of music on Seattle stages. Among the projects Mike was a part of include the bands Faster Tiger, Rustin Mire, Alta May, Captains of Industry and Radialarmsaw. He also partnered with Rebecca Brown and the Better Biscuit Dance Company on the opera The Onion Twins. Mike is sorely missed. Please come down, say a few words, hug some friends and raise a glass to this one-of-a-kind true gentleman.

Lester Bangs once wrote, "The Mekons are the most revolutionary group in the history of rock 'n' roll," and although he wrote it tongue in cheek, that doesn't mean he was wrong. Thoroughly uncompromising, creatively restless, at once witty and profoundly cynical, and seemingly incapable of repeating themselves, the Mekons are one of the few bands from the first wave of British punk who not only never turned their back on their guiding ideals, but clung to them with greater tenacity over time. (This helps explain why their audience, while relatively small, is unfailingly loyal.) The Mekons were (and remain) as strongly political as any band short of Crass, but their Marxism came from the perspective of the guy at the bar, not unintelligent but rarely academic. Since 1977, the Mekons have followed a musical path that has taken them through punk ("Never Been in a Riot"), noisy experimentalism (The Quality of Mercy Is Not Strnen), synthesizer-based avant-pop (Devils, Rats, and Piggies: A Special Message from Godzilla), fractured country (Fear and Whiskey), rock & roll (The Mekons Rock 'n' Roll), electronics (Me), and several brands of folk (Natural, Ancient and Modern, and Jura), and for all their sonic shapeshifting, they've always managed to sound like the Mekons, brave contrarians who've gone too far to stop, at every turn.”
