WOLFCHILD + Kelsey Sprague Band + Armour
The Rabbit Box presents WOLFCHILD + Kelsey Sprague Band + Armour
Friday, Jan. 30th / Doors 7pm / Music begins at 8pm
$18 adv. / $20 dos : https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/wolfchild-kelsey-sprague-band-armour-2026-01-30-the-rabbit-box-theatre-seattle-93e51f
WOLFCHILD is a Portland,OR based Cinematic Folk Rock band with influences ranging from the immersive earthy sounds of Gregory Alan Isakov, Lord Huron, and The Paper Kites to the contemporary experimentation you might expect from Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes, or Andrew Bird. They have performed on stages such as The Troubadour, Mississippi Studios, “The Egg” (Albany, NY), Folklore (UK), and Java (Paris); At festivals like Imagine Music & Arts, Cascade Equinox, Oregon Country Faire, SXSW, Burning Man, 4 Peaks, Summer Meltdown, Northwest Folklife, and many more. At the heart of the project is Gabriel Wolfchild and his brother Elion TruthHeart. Wolfchild weaves music that feels like memory — raw, poetic, and elemental. With his enchanting vocals, unique guitar work and lyrical storytelling, Gabriel invites listeners into deep emotional landscapes that touch the wild edges of the heart. Elion is a virtuoso multi-instrumentalist who effortlessly flows between drums and a variety of exotic string and woodwind accompaniment. He contributes to a rich vocal harmony that only brothers can create. Rooted in folk, shaped by spirit, and carried by the wind of the Pacific Northwest, Wolfchild’s music holds a sense of reverence — for grief, for beauty, for love, for truth. Whether they are singing of inner transformation or the aching beauty of the land, Wolfchild reminds us that vulnerability is power, and that song can be a portal back to what matters most.
Kelsey Sprague Band weaves songs that feel like love letters—tender, nostalgic, and achingly human. Our sound blends old soul with indie folk intimacy, evoking the warmth of vintage radio and the ache of a well-worn memory. Every song is a slow dance between heartbreak and hope, written to bring people home to themselves.
What Rob Moura hopes you hear when you press play on his music is a familiar language rendered alien. True to his Seattle-based surroundings, the songs he performs as Armour are verdant and waterlogged, and they move with dark clouds permanently affixed above them. Moura’s featherweight vocals and labyrinthine guitar structures may at first recall the classic folk of Nick Drake, and the pieces are similarly plaintive - acoustic guitar, even-keeled vocals, and an unflinching honesty - but the songs themselves are complex coils of emotion, all of them tightened under the repressive pressure of modern-day living.
EFB & THE ESTEEMED GENTLEMEN: RETURN TO THE RABBIT BOX
EFB and The Esteemed Gentlemen: Return to The Rabbit Box!
Saturday, Jan. 31st / Doors 7pm / Music 8pm

The Esteemed Gentlemen are a power trio featuring Evan Flory-Barnes-bass guitar/vocals, Matt Clough-guitar and Joey Ziegler-drums. The band conveys Flory-Barnes’ original songs with poetic subtlety, intense depth, palpable joy and fiery intensity all within one tune, expressing something that is both psychedelic and grounded, experimental yet danceable. Flory-Barnes' voice is as inspired by classic soul singers like Curtis Mayfield, Smokey Robinson and Marvin Gaye, as it is by experimental pop artists Björk and Radiohead, as it is by grunge era icons Chris Cornell and Jerry Cantrell. With lyrics touching on self-ownership, hard won self-love, personal sovereignty and the lessons gleaned from relationships with mischievous humor and a philosopher’s heart. His bass playing while incredibly flexible and fluid is deeply rooted in the all-encompassing groove. Matt Clough, is a singular guitarist, sonically inventive, supremely lyrical and harmonically creative. Clough is equally adept at expressing nuanced restraint and raw passion, crafting beautiful rhythm parts along with tastefully melodic solos that push the creative edge all while being deeply heartfelt. Joey Ziegler, plays the drums with a soulful precision, sense of groove and feel paired with a sophistication that is equally playful and explorative. With great attention to detail, Ziegler extracts unique colors from the drum set, creating a sonic palette that is incredibly musical and entirely his own, all while doing it with infectious enthusiasm.

According to The Stranger's Dave Segal, "Apple Jam are possibly the most arcane Beatles tribute band in the world. While most of these Moptop manqués are content to replicate the best-known songs from the Fab Four's rich catalog (not that there's anything wrong with that), Apple Jam dig way deeper ... Apple Jam have the skills to recreate the Beatles' melodic magic and vocal sonority in order to spotlight the obscure corners of their evergreen output.”
Far beyond other Beatles tribute bands, Apple Jam delivers unrivaled Beatles-infused musicianship and world-class showmanship, without wigs, costumes or accents. They approach Beatles music with enormous respect and devotion, and their jaw-dropping concerts must be experienced live to be fully appreciated. Apple Jam has performed at major venues on the West coast, the United Kingdom, and Finland.
Apple Jam's acclaimed album discography showcases Beatle-penned music outside of the official canon, and includes the following releases - "Off The Beatle Track" (2009), "On The Wings Of A Nightingale" (2012), "Off The White Album" (2018), and "Beatley" (2024). This catalogue is available on all major streaming platforms worldwide.
Apple Jam's line-up includes: Rick Lovrovich (guitar), Kelly Van Camp (drums).Johnny Jones (keyboards), Jakael Tristram (guitar), and Keith Lowe (bass). Apple Jam was formed in 2005, in support of "(Just Like) Starting Over", a stage play based on John Lennon's final interview.

Jesse Sykes And The Sweet Hereafter ~ February 20th
Jesse Sykes And The Sweet Hereafter is the result of the enduring musical alchemy between singer-songwriter Jesse Sykes and guitarist Phil Wandscher, which began in Seattle in 2001. Blending folk, blues, orchestral elements and various psychedelic stylings, their sound culminates in what the New York Times described as “spellbound music, rapt in fatalism and sorrow.”
Having just released their 5th record, “Forever, I’ve Been Being Born”, on Southern Lord and Ideologic Organ (Europe) Sykes says;
“This new album is our attempt at creating elegant folk and sometimes ragged, cosmic heart rendered songs, full of eulogies and laments. It’s chock full with themes of emotional dislocation, magical thinking, death and transformation. It took us ten years to complete this record—as life was challenging in that decade —so these two nights will truly be a celebration, a release in the truest sense of the word— because honestly I felt much of the time that it might never get finished —and at times, that weight felt unbearable.”
These two shows also celebrate the physical CD being available. (We will have both vinyl and cds at these shows!)

This year, we’re looking for funding to launch our own Brood Awakening Student Jam Session. It will be a free, monthly jazz jam for students in the greater Seattle area. It will be hosted at The Rabbit Box, located in the heart of Pike Place Market (the former Patti Summers jazz nightclub). With lyrics covering everything from vigilante cryptids to bad trips in abandoned trailers, Adira Sharkey’s songwriting sets her apart in the Americana scene. Her low-slung voice lends itself perfectly to her raw, unfiltered storytelling, where her songs take audiences to the darker side of love, longing, and life’s misadventures. Like any unusual art, her voice isn’t for everyone, even inspiring one YouTube commenter to note “weird voice.” Still others are won over by Adira’s low rasp: “[she’s] like if Cher was country”, explained PNW folk pop favorite Izzy Burns. Often joined by an upright bass player, her rhythmic vocal arrangements and percussive finger picking is complemented with traditional roots music accompaniment, delivering a punchy alt-country sound. She’s honed a bluesy folk feel from years of playing shows up and down the west coast, and has recently had the distinct honor of opening for Grammy nominated artist Kelsey Waldon at Seattle’s Sunset Tavern. Her forthcoming debut album evokes a genre melting blend of Tom Waits and Patsy Cline, with just a pinch of Ani DiFranco.

The Star Family Singers are a songwriting duo who write music about the mystical powers of love and friendship. Always a real world venture, they live in a 2003 Toyota Highlander and tour the DIY circuit, eating gas station hot dogs, exploring their craft and pursuing the effervescent mystery of music itself! Nick Delffs has been a beloved staple of Pacific Northwest music since emerging with his Portland-based band The Shaky Hands in the mid-2000s. It was clear then, as it is now, that he possessed an authentic—maybe ancient—voice. His latest album, Transitional Phase (Mama Bird Recording Co.) is some of his finest and most vulnerable work. As the title suggests, it’s an album about opening oneself up to change, refusing the calcification that comes with age, and opting for wholesale transformation instead.

If one could apply a needle to the flat disc of time and render a sound from its infinite grooves, the celestial tones of past, present and future would be the songs of The Sam Chase. It doesn’t matter where they are from, where they’ve been or where they may yet go. All that matters is where you will be when they show how to make time stand still. The music rings through your soul like a siren. Something inside you has been set loose. We have veered off of the path, into the unknown and there is no one who can stop it. Then you realize, you gave them the keys. Time, space, and the swirling of microscopic universes that make up all matter, mean nothing when the veil is lifted and you hear the clang of Knuckles the guitar and the holy “whooas” of the man himself… Sam Chase. You lean back, kick your feet up and sing along.
Kelsey Sprague Band weaves songs that feel like love letters—tender, nostalgic, and achingly human. Their sound blends old-school soul themes and retro pop hooks with indie folk intimacy, evoking the warmth of vintage radio and the ache of a well-worn memory. With romantic tempos and dreamy hooks, every song is a slow dance between heartbreak and hope, written to bring people home to themselves. Based in Seattle, Kelsey Sprague Band is setting out to create spaces that invite listeners to slow down and connect with their own sense of nostalgia with influences ranging from Patsy Cline to Jenny Lewis to Norah Jones and Brandi Carlisle.
Kate Dinsmore is a singer-songwriter based in Seattle, WA. A dynamic performer and vocalist, Dinsmore brings her songs to the stage with an undeniable presence. Her music is powerful and emotional, with influences ranging from Jazz to Rock to Americana. Dinsmore’s performances quickly gained a following in Seattle, allowing her to open for notable artists such as Pat Benatar, Colin Hay, and the Dip.
Charming Disaster with Mister Ink and The Black Mariah Theater
The Rabbit Box presents Charming Disaster with Mr. Ink and The Black Mariah Theatre
Sunday, March 15th / Doors 6:30pm / Show 7:30pm
$18 adv. / $20 door: https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/charming-disaster-mister-ink-the-black-mariah-theater-2026-03-15-the-rabbit-box-theatre-seattle-b96daa
CHARMING DISASTER is a Brooklyn-based goth folk duo whose darkly whimsical sound world blends macabre humor, literary storytelling, and theatrical flair. Formed in 2012 by singer songwriters Ellia Bisker and Jeff Morris, the pair creates tightly woven duets that explore the shadowy borderlands between myth and science, magic and mortality, folklore and the occult. Their music draws inspiration from the murder ballad traditions of Americana, the gothic sensibilities of Edward Gorey and Tim Burton and the intimate drama of cabaret performance. Across seven full length albums, Charming Disaster has developed a signature style that is both playfully sinister and emotionally resonant. Their songs unfold like miniature stories—populated by witches, ghosts, detectives, monsters, and doomed lovers—each delivered with wry wit, intricate harmonies, and a flair for the theatrical. They have shared stages with genre bending acts including Voltaire, Rasputina, and The Dresden Dolls, earning praise for their ability to make the macabre feel mischievous, charming, and unexpectedly fun. Whatever you think is about to happen when MISTER INK emerges holding some weird vaguely recognizable instrument you are probably right and wrong all the same. There will be stories. There will be howling and hollering. There will be oddly captivating rhythms seducing you into his world. A subterranean labyrinth of folk tales, dirty limericks, and salacious magic rooted in the ancient heartbeat of humanity. Somewhere in the mud where myth crashes into meat there is Mister Ink asking you for just a little more time. Mister Ink, the shouting songwriting engine for the enigmatic Peculiar Pretzelmen, strips down the apocalyptic atmosphere to a more negotiable bit of bombast in solo form. The odd instrumentation and primal grooves remain, held together by songs that might be ancient or maybe hastily composed on the way to the stage. Either way, a captivating bit of chaos is sure to occur, tattooing its charms on the dark corners of audiences wherever he appears. THE BLACK MARIAH THEATER have been casting hexes with their sultry-garage rock for years; but it's the twin sisters' infectious energy and angsty-cool attitude during live shows that draw listeners from all over. Combining tantalizing melodies with catchy choruses, along with the band's lyrical storytelling, The Black Mariah Theater will have you entranced from the first note

Nick Delffs has been a beloved staple of Pacific Northwest music since emerging with his Portland-based band The Shaky Hands in the mid-2000s. It was clear then, as it is now, that he possessed an authentic—maybe ancient—voice. His latest album, Transitional Phase, is about opening oneself up to change, refusing the calcification that comes with age, and opting for wholesale transformation instead.
The Star Family Singers are a songwriting duo who write music to explore the mystical powers of love and friendship. Always a real world venture, they live in a 2003 Toyota Highlander and tour the DIY circuit, eating gas station hot dogs, exploring their craft and pursuing the effervescent mystery of music itself!

Apple Jam ~ Beatles Sessions
World-renowned Beatles tribute band Apple Jam is best known for curating and developing Beatles music outside of the official canon. Apple Jam / Beatles Sessions is hosted by Seattle's famed Rabbit Box Theatre. You’ll hear music from the entire Beatles catalogue (including rarities, deep cuts, solo years) performed in an astounding Fab4 style! Presented by Roseta Productions.
Monday, Jan. 19th / Doors 6:30pm / Music begins at 7:30pm
$15 adv. / $18 door: https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/apple-jam-beatles-sessions-2026-01-19-the-rabbit-box-theatre-seattle-77aa57

His songs explore everyday moments as well as fiction, personal reflections, and the spaces between people, with arrangements that range from stripped-down acoustic to layered and textured. Wizard People, Dear Seattle
Wizard People, Dear Seattle RETURNS!!! Seattle's 21 years and running holiday freak film extravaganza is back with a live band, live foley sound effects, and your favorite demented narrator Professor Brett Niley. What unhinged perversions will they perpetrate upon cinema this year? What rambles and fancies will the good Professor indulge? What will you be called upon to do in front of your fellow wizards?! This one of a kind comedy show takes the fourth-wall-breaking of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and the schlock antics of Rocky Horror to delirious new heights. Silliness is mandatory, audience participation is likely. Don't be the only kid on the block without a ticket, because much like your favorite pop star, this puppy SELLS OUT. Willikers! One last thing: be sure to don your finest wizardly attire for a chance at winning GLORIOUS PRIZES by competing in our half time show COSTUME CONTEST.
