Byland is the moniker and last name of Seattle based, Albuquerque raised, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Alie Renee. Alie’s cinematic, indie-rock sound is grounded by vocally vulnerable moments that will move you to lean in. The acclaimed project has received recognition from outlets like KEXP, Under The Radar, American Songwriter, Flood Magazine, and others. Byland's latest studio record, “Heavy For A While”, is both timeless and "a little weird" and makes room for her intriguing and often offbeat arrangements - released on Mother West in March of 2024. The record was co-written with her partner and primary collaborator, Jacob John. A Grammy award winning team brought it to life, including production by Nathan Yaccino (Matt Cameron, Pearl Jam, Norah Jones), mixing by Brandon Bell (Brandi Carlile, Joni Mitchell, Dolly Parton), and mastering by Pete Lyman (Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton). Notable contributors alongside Alie include a lineup of powerful females - Jessica Dobson (Deep Sea Diver), Meagan Grandall (Lemolo), and Abby Gundersen. In support of the record, Alie, along with her four-piece band of seasoned musicians, toured the West and East Coasts. Zander Hawley is a singer and songwriter from Los Angeles. Described as “an avalanche of feeling” (Atwood Magazine) and “consistently captivating, lyrical storytelling” (Ones To Watch), he has toured the US, Canada, and Europe, both on his own and opening for acts including The Naked and Famous and Noah Gundersen. His music has been featured on television in “The Following” on Fox and “The Recruit” on Netflix, and he currently appears as “Rodge” on “The Rookie” on ABC.
Brenna Bruce (Album Release), Lightweight Champion, Stonefruit
The Rabbit Box presents Brenna Bruce (Album Release), Lightweight Champion & Stonefruit
Friday, June 12th // Doors 7:30 // Music 8:30pm
Brenna Bruce is a singer-songwriter residing in Seattle, Washington. Following a path of curiosity and introspection, her music moves with a quiet power, balancing sharpness and tenderness with an understood patience. Bruce pulls from the tradition of vulnerable folk songwriting through delicate and crystalline vocal prowess akin to Courtney Marie Andrews and Emmylou Harris, with the simplicity and focus of Gillian Welch’s storytelling. On her debut EP “Honest Bloom”, Bruce weaves heartfelt stories of her youth in the vast desert landscapes of Arizona with her present day home in the lush mountains of the Pacific Northwest. She explores spaces of liminality and cyclical growth, spinning themes of connection, belonging, and becoming, with Brenna’s vocal harmonies carrying each sentiment to fruition. In 2026, Bruce returns with a matured sound and focused production for her sophomore project “Light Catcher”. Supported by the refined textures of earthy percussion, woodwinds, strings, guitars, and keys, the songs embody threads of rootlessness entangled in visceral memories of love, loss, and everything between.
Lightweight Champion is an alt-country band based out of Seattle and Port Townsend, WA. The band's sound comprises compelling indie songwriting and lyricism with a twangy edge. The band released their first EP “Valley” on Seattle cassette label Den Tapes in April 2023. The EP demonstrates the band's versatility and arrangement prowess – it merges Spieldenner’s lyrics-forward style with warm and textural production, leaning on alt-country influences augmented by explorations into indie/alternative sonic territory. Members include Aaron Spieldenner (Vocals/Guitar), Cam Hancock (Drums) and Tom Moskal (Bass).
Stonefruit is an indie alternative rock band local to Bozeman, MT. With a debut album set to release in summer 2026 and their first tour on the books, Stonefruit is reaching the escape velocity necessary to blast off. Made up of one lifelong Montanan and three lads with southern roots, Stonefruit's sound seamlessly blends noisy tones, sweet bends, and driving drums with Olivia Langan's idiosyncratic lyrics and guitar play. From dreamy alt that has you staring at the floor to crunchy quickness that breaks you from the spell, Stonefruit's genre blending has no limits

Sunday, June 14th // Doors 6:30pm // Music 7pm
Tommy Yeehaw is an up and coming folk-country artist in the Seattle area whose songwriting style can be described as “half-witty”. He makes music for fun and friendship and wants you to feel like you are in on the jokes and joy in his music. Inspired by the sounds of Tyler Childers and Sturgill Simpson, Tommy Yeehaw makes folk-country music for a time when the landscape of country music and the idea of “country-ness” has become muddy and expansive in its crisis of authenticity. With Seattle-based folk americana artists Jackie Rome and Rose Winter in support, this will be a night of beautiful guitar sounds and beautiful voices. The Rabbit Box is an intimate venue that will highlight these artists’ strengths and sound.

100 Miles of Music presents Canadian Music Nights #1
100 Miles of Music presents Canadian Music Nights #1 starring James Young & Friends, featuring Erin McNamee, Jonny Evergreen, and Ian Jones, w/ special guests at The Rabbit Box
Wednesday, June 20th // Doors 6:30pm // Music 7:30pm
Space is limited, get your tickets now!
Canadian Music Nights #1, is the first in a series of concerts where American artists will be celebrating their love of Canadian music and the culture that created it. We will be singing the timeless songs that our neighbors up north penned or simply made famous.
We will be working with Canadian music journalist Phil Saunders on considering songs we have yet to discover, as well as highlighting music that should be better known on both sides of the border. Phil Saunders is a former CBC journalist and author of the book No Flash Please: Underground Music in Toronto 1987-1992. His deep knowledge and scholarship has already made this music series a more authentic study of Canadian song. His research and first hand experience exploring the relationships between Canadian and American musicians, is one of the major touchstones of the night.
More of a musical bridge than simply a headliner, our own Pike Place Gospel music legend, James Young will be at the top of the bill, as we present his unique collection of multi talented music friends that will perform Canadian music they connect with deeply. We will also be showcasing some music from a forthcoming solo album by Mr. Young that has been made possible by Friends of The Market, a group of citizens of Seattle that have themselves had a unique role in preserving and protecting Pike Place. Erin McNamee,Jonny Evergreen, Ian Jones and more special guests to be announced, will be accompanying James Young, and performing as soloists. The evening will be presented by the radio show 100 Miles of Music and emceed by program's hosts, Davin Stedman and Stevor Compton. Not coincidentally, Phil Saunders was the co-owner of the short lived Canadian American magazine that's mission of connecting our two nations inspired Davin to create 100 Miles of Music, as a clever way to describe the fact that nearly the entire population of Canada lives within 100 miles of the United States.
Canadian Music Nights was a thought that Davin Stedman had about what could actually be done to encourage Canadians we love to come back to Seattle to visit Pike Place Market. It's no secret that the number of Canadians crossing the border has dropped off a cliff because of circumstances beyond our control. But in looking for a solution like a Stoic he realized that there are some things we can control and one of them is music. Another is how we can treat each other with empathy, kindness, and dignity. After all, the #1 tell Davin discovered when spotting a Canadian was not how they say the words "aboot" or "so-ree". It was simply how kind they were. So we stole a page from that playbook and with the help of Pike Place Gospel legend, James Young who has been described as our own Mr. Rogers, we are turning empathy and kindness into action. We have gathered an incredible group of music friends to express our love for not just Canadians, but the visitors and immigrants of all kinds that make places like Pike Place Market not just profitable, but possible. This is where action meets word. This is about utilizing the power of music the way we should to bring our communities together.

The Ephemera Tour (Ethan Buckner + Jessie Thoreson + Special Guest)
The Rabbit Box presents The Ephemera Tour ft. Ethan Buckner & Jessie Thoreson & special guest, Erick Irons.
Thursday, June 25th // Doors 7:30pm // Music 8:00pm
Jessie Thoreson is a singer-songwriter from Seattle, Washington. Drawing inspiration from classic storytellers like Joni Mitchell and John Prine, Jessie Thoreson pairs folk roots and instrumentation with the emotional grit and complexity of artists like Fiona Apple, Madison Cunningham, and St. Vincent. Her most recent album, Return to the Ground, is a meditation on life’s cyclical nature. Each song connects ecological patterns to emotional cycles, exploring themes of change, repetition, and renewal. When not playing music, Jessie works as a fire ecologist, studying how wildfire reshapes, renews, and reinforces our cultural and ecological systems. That idea of transformation runs through her music, which often explores natural systems, human behavior, and the tension between destruction and renewal. Playful yet sophisticated, her songs celebrate life’s contradictions, cycles, and the beauty found in between.
Los Angeles indie folk/pop troubadour, activist, and community builder Ethan Buckner wants you to see who he really is: his traumas and triumphs, anxieties and hopes. His debut LP Treading Water, produced by grammy-nominee Justin Glasco (Paris Paloma, Lone Bellow), weaves between moments both intimate and anthemic, exploring struggles that are both deeply personal and unavoidably collective. Following a whirlwind year of touring and releases, including a headline debut at LA’s iconic Troubadour, Ethan and Justin are hard at work on Ephemera, his second LP. The project is Ethan’s reckoning and redemption, written after Ethan found himself immobilized for months in early 2025 following a severe back injury. His new work casts an invitation to embrace vulnerability as a source of power.

Free Admission! This ongoing series is self funded and open to student musicians that want real jazz jam session experience!
“ Hi! We’re Brood Awakening, a student jazz group from Seattle. Over the last two years, we've hosted a monthly all-ages jam session at Seattle Jazz Fellowship and the Black & Tan Hall. It has been one of the most meaningful parts of our musical journey. We’ve met other musicians, learned a lot, and gained real experience performing on stage.
This year, we’re looking for funding to launch our own Brood Awakening Student Jam Session. It will be a free, monthly jazz jam for students in the greater Seattle area. It will be hosted at The Rabbit Box, located in the heart of Pike Place Market (the former Patti Summers jazz nightclub). We are incredibly grateful to them for hosting this event and supporting student musicians!

Future Spells + 600 Salad Bowls + Dreams Down Deep

Sunday, June 28th // Doors 6pm // Show 7pm
Future Spells is an experimental, ambient project made up of Luna Moss members Char Easter and Dan Blossom. At its stream-of-conscious core, are dreamscape vocals over electronic dub beats. For this performance, Blossom, known for his sublime guitar soundscapes, will be creating in Ableton Live. Expect unpredictable patternless paths that lead to a hypnotic tranquility-and a guest dancer, on occasion.
600 Salad Bowls has been snaking its way through the landscape of time offering a fresh listen to the written words of Helena Rogers. While these words are usually striving to find their way atop the beautiful cacophony of her current trio Student Nurse, she is here inviting you to be able to clearly hear each word while they are sometimes spoken sometimes sung over a bed of scintillating computer-based electronica tracks composed by herself in collaboration with John Rogers and Eric Muhs (also of Student Nurse). This minimalist approach is sure to please the aurally fatigued masses!
Dreams Down Deep s a post-modern, alternative rock band based in Seattle founded by singer/songwriter Randall Lorin Pape. Influences include: Wim Wenders and Siouxsie Sioux, Jim Jarmusch and Nick Cave, Radiohead and Blonde Redhead, Bela Legosi and Bauhaus. Their music is infused with personal narrative and colorful optimism against an apocalyptic world.

"When music journalists say things like 'this artist is a fixture in Seattle music,' there’s probably no one right now who fits that title better than Nakayama." - KEXP
Seattle artist Tomo Nakayama’s fourth album "Ocean" will be released on November 7th on Porchlight Records/Den Tapes in the USA, and in Japan on Lemon House Inc. Following his breakthrough 2020 synthpop album "Melonday",“Ocean” is Tomo’s return to a graceful, lush, organic full-band sound, backed by pianist Yuuki Matthews (The Shins), bassist Abbey Blackwell (Alvvays), and drummer Christopher Icasiano (Fleet Foxes) and featuring guest turns by Jesy Fortino (Tiny Vipers) and Debbie Miller. It is his most personal and complete musical statement to date, a self-produced ten song reflection on grief, healing, and the meaning of creating art and maintaining humanity in a tumultuous world. “Ocean” travels across sonic worlds of dream pop, orchestral acoustic folk, improvisational jazz, psychedelia and indie rock, all tied together by a wide open melodic and lyrical heart. "Ocean" is a deeply collaborative album awash in images of the sea, serving as metaphors for the vastness of love, human connection, and our capacity to clearly see and be one with the world. Born in Japan and raised in Seattle, Tomo Nakayama has explored the lines between intimate indie folk, exuberant synth pop, and cinematic soundtracks for over two decades. Best known for placements in Netflix’s “House of Ninjas” and the Sundance Grand Jury nominated film “Touchy Feely”, Tomo’s music has been praised by NPR, KEXP, and the New York Times, and his hit single “Get to Know You” received over 2 million streams worldwide. He has toured across the world, sharing the stage with artists such as Cornelius, Ron Sexsmith, Fruit Bats, Thao, and Stella Donnelly. A versatile multi-instrumentalist and composer, Tomo has also accompanied and collaborated with Dave Matthews, Jeremy Enigk (of Sunny Day Real Estate), Sera Cahoone, Jherek Bischoff, Jesse Sykes, Donnie Emerson (Dreamin’ Wild, Light in the Attic), and experimental dance company Malacarne.

SEMANTRON performs Secrets of Krummholz Heart with special guest, Tad Doyle performing works from his recent movie scores.
Friday, July 10th // Doors 7pm // Show 8pm
$20 adv. / GA Seated Upper & Lower Main Floor : https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/semantron-performs-secrets-of-krummholz-heart-2026-07-10-the-rabbit-box-theatre-seattle-1d9957
Multi-instrumentalist Dave French – most widely known as the powerhouse drummer of Yob – arrives with his solo venture SEMANTRON, and the project’s entrancing debut LP, Secrets Of A Krummholz Heart.
Dave French has not only performed around the globe as a member of Yob, he’s played drums with Tad Doyle’s Brothers Of The Sonic Cloth, been a live collaborator with Steve Von Till and his Harvestman project, produced records for members of Soundgarden, and much more throughout his life in music. For several years, he’s been traveling with a classical guitar, writing songs in backstages and hotels, during ferry crossings, in remote landscapes, and quiet moments on the road. These pieces gradually evolved into SEMANTRON. The name of the project comes from an ancient monastic instrument: a plank of beech wood struck rhythmically with branches to call monks to meditation. The word itself is so old that its original pronunciation has long been lost to time. French chose the name because the music shares a similar purpose—slow, resonant, and meditative.
Performing every instrument on Secrets Of A Krummholz Heart, having recorded acoustic foundations in an off-grid cabin on Mt. Adams before completing drums, bass, electric guitars, and vocals between his home studio and the rehearsal space of Yob, French blended acoustic and electric textures with field recordings gathered from the natural world: ravens and owls, alpine wind, rivers, stone percussion from mountain talus slopes, rhythms played on living trees, and the slow dripping of meltwater from an Icelandic glacier. The record was mixed by Nathan Yaccino (Soundgarden, Norah Jones, A Storm Of Light), mastered by Tad Doyle (Tad, Brothers Of The Sonic Cloth), and completed with art/layout by Dave French.
The result is deeply immersive music that unfolds patiently, drawing the listener into a meditative landscape of sound. The result is immersive and deeply personal music—patient, atmospheric, and elemental—echoing the expansive spirit of Pink Floyd and the ritualistic beauty of Dead Can Dance.
“Tad Doyle, best known for the bands TAD, BROTHERS OF THE SONIC CLOTH, HOG MOLLY, H-HOUR, and others will be performing solo with some of his most recent film score works. This will be his first live performance since 2006. Expect the unexpected.”

The Triple Door presents Abbie Gardner
The Triple Door presents Abbie Gardner at The Rabbit Box
Thursday / July 23, 2026 at 7:30pm
$20 General // $25 Advance : https://tickets.thetripledoor.net/ordertickets.asp?p=5565&src=default
Named a “triple threat” by Bluegrass Unlimited, Abbie has made a name for herself as one of the only solo dobro troubadours in the country. Don’t let her infectious smile fool you, beneath that radiant exterior lies the soul of a fierce and fiery slide guitar player. You might know her best from her work with Americana darlings Red Molly, but Abbie Gardner centered her own gritty, sweet tales of love and loss on her 2022 solo album DobroSinger. It reached #11 on the Billboard Blues chart. She's a Kerrville New Folk Finalist (2025) and was nominated for Folk Alliance International's Artist of the Year (2025). Her live show is truly unique - heartfelt vocals and warm stage presence, backed up by top notch picking on an instrument that is more typically in the background. Come for the heartfelt, intimate ballads and stay for the raw, bluesy picking. Gardner’s got all your musical bases covered.
"Abbie is leaving her mark by trailblazing a new path. She has fused her dobro playing, singing, and songwriting into a seamless vehicle of musical expression. If you have never seen Abbie live you owe it to yourself to do so… and if you have seen her live…you know what I am talking about." - Mike England, Bluegrass Unlimited
Amanda Knox : CARTWHEEL
The Rabbit Box presents Amanda Knox: CARTWHEEL
Night One / Thursday, July 30th / Doors 6pm / Show 7pm
$40 VIP Upper Stage Level / $30 Lower Main Floor / $20 Standing Room: https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/amanda-knox-cartwheel-2026-07-30-the-rabbit-box-theatre-seattle-dfb25f
Ahead of her Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut in August, Amanda Knoxis bringing her first full hour to the Rabbit Box Theater with a striking new one woman comedy show that blends storytelling and stand up with unflinching honesty and humor.
Amanda Knox is approaching forty, juggling motherhood, and facing an existential crisis: what if she peaked at wrongful imprisonment? How is she going to explain it all to her daughter, who's already asking to hear the story of Mama Goes To Italy? And can she protect her from, well, everything, well, everything, knowing her own mother couldn’t protect her no matter how hard she tried?
Her perspective as a mother brings emotional depth, confronting the reality that she cannot protect her daughter from everything, just as no one could protect her. The result is a show that is as thought provoking as it is darkly funny, offering audiences a rare insight into life after her 20’s and the search for meaning beyond it.
Amanda Knox is rapidly emerging as a distinctive new comedic voice. Her work examines how we transform ourselves and find purpose on the other side of extraordinary experiences, delivered with clarity, intelligence and disarming openness.
Amanda is a natural performer. She is everything you want to watch in a comic: she has a captivating story, she has been through the ringer and has come out alive, and she has the perfect amount of humility, humor, and introspection to take us through the intimate side of her story you didn’t read in the tabloids.— Nikki Glaser
Even if you don’t want to believe women, fine, we are used to it, but it’s your loss if you don’t come laugh at one. At a time when pity seems to be the new currency, Amanda refuses to be a victim, and instead hilariously picks up the pieces of her past and builds a sparkly and hilarious mosaic — Whitney Cummings
Amanda Knox is an author, journalist and exoneree who has transformed global notoriety into bold, boundary pushing storytelling. After spending four years in an Italian prison for a crime she did not commit, she reclaimed her narrative through her writing, television and film projects, her memoir Free: My Search for Meaning, and her podcast Hard Knox.
She made her stand up debut at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles as part of the Roast of Whitney Cummings, and has since opened for Nikki Glaser, Esther Povitsky and Damon Wayans, as well as headlining numerous comedy shows. Her screen work includes a cameo in the Peacock sitcom Laid. This debut Fringe hour marks a significant new chapter in Amanda Knox’s creative career, bringing a singular voice to the stage with a show that is both intimate and expansive in its exploration of identity, resilience and reinvention.

Little-Rock-born singer-songwriter Adam Faucett carries a voice “that knocks your brain into the back of your skull” (The Onion A.V. Club) and a catalog of swamp-soaked folk, blues, and cosmic Americana that has landed him on stages with the likes of Jason Isbell, Lucero, King Buzzo and Weedeater. Since going solo in 2006, he has released six critically praised albums—most recently New Variations of the Reaper (Last Chance Records, Sept. 2025)—and toured relentlessly across the U.S. and Europe, earning spots on American Songwriter’s “Top 50 Albums of the Year” and PopMatters’ “Top 20 Americana Albums.” His Arkansas-gothic narratives, keening and wailed, make any spot feel genuinely present, but somehow timeless.

The Rabbit Box presents Kim Virant with special guest, Dejha Colantuono
Friday, Aug. 21st / Doors 6pm / Music 7pm
A fixture of Seattle’s music scene, Kim Virant emerged in the ’90s as the powerhouse frontwoman of Lazy Susan, delivering a gritty yet melodic edge that earned her a reputation as a dynamic performer with an unmistakable presence. After the band parted ways, keeping the rock and twang, she launched a solo career, rooted in evocative lyrics and a voice that can soothe or shake you to your core and is always original. Her sound is organic, lived-in, and unapologetically heartfelt—reminding listeners that while eras shift, true artistry doesn’t. She has opened for Pearl Jam, Robert Plant & Jimmy Page, X, and Joan Jett—underscoring her commanding magnetism and musical prowess. 2026 brings a new album for Kim, Orion’s Belt, covering love, loss, and everything in between - produced by Max Rose. She has the good fortune to play with amazingly talented musicians: Chris Friel/drums, Gary Westlake/guitar, Jeff Rouse/bass, Max Rose/sax & guitar, Kathy Moore/guitar & piano.

Franca-Latina mezzo-soprano Adrienne LaVey makes her Rabbit Box debut to perform the most passionate French and Italian arias and art songs of the romantic era. With her unique chocolatey and sparkling mezzo-soprano voice, she will make you fall in love with these pieces again and again. As is her signature dramatic flair, Miss LaVey refuses to allow these pieces to be performed with sterility and perfection, but rather with the passion with which they were written. She will also reunite with tenor Timothy Keller for a heartbreaking duet from La Favorite, all accompanied by Christopher Powell on piano. Adrienne LaVey is an operationally-trained vocalist based out of Seattle with a love for French and Italian operatic repertoire. A native Washingtonian, she has made Seattle her home artistically and personally. She produces intimate, immersive, and accessible operatic shows around the Seattle area, inviting her audiences into the world of the pieces that she falls in love with, rather than what mezzo-sopranos are expected to be performing. She loves showcasing pieces that are often off the beaten path that her audiences may not have heard before, and delights when they identify with it. Adrienne has curated a cocktail, the Maiden’s Blush no2, that can be ordered at the event.

Sam Weber is a Portland-based songwriter whose reputation precedes him. If you haven’t seen him in your town on one of his many extended tours, you might have seen his name on marquees beside Dawes, Feist, or Madison Cunningham (and in the latter's liner notes as a songwriter on her latest LP, Ace). His songcraft is only rivaled by his musicianship, both of which are disciplined enough to stun and feel effortless. He’s well-practiced at his trade, touring solo or with an ensemble domestically and abroad since 2013. His relentless output — now counting eight full length records in his discography — has led to an examination of human existence through self analysis, eternal in a fragmenting modern world. He is a Scorpio.
Berkley (Portland, OR) With a voice that straddles delicacy and huskiness, Portland songwriter Berkley takes the mantle from the 70s Laurel Canyon scene. Jones’s signature progressive flourishes and expansive influences keep him out of the heritage revivalism pack as he ventures into new (for him) territory of country-tinged, folk-leaning tunes on his second LP Vaquero.

There’s a message in every lyric — and a little piece of everybody in the songs. Beyond performing, Lady A is the founder of Lady A’s Blues and Blessings Foundation, a teaching artist, producer, community workshop leader, and radio personality on the Walter Trout Blues Rock Radio Station, where she champions independent artists. John Coons and Jonah Wheeler, DOUBLE INDUMBNITY
Sparkling chanteuse John Coons and adult performer Jonah Wheelerreturn to Seattle with a new evening of queer frivolity, original songs, and unhinged mashups. At turns hilarious, horny, and heartbreaking, these two punslingers will stuff you full of queer joy like a reverse pinata. Following up John's dark comedy BLEAK at Seattle Town Hall in 2023 (and performances with the 5th Avenue Theater, ACT Theater, and the Seattle Symphony), partner-in-life-and-performance Jonah now throws his Broadway-arranger-turned-adult-star hat into the ring. Described as "something between late-night cabaret, avant-garde therapy, and a fever dream from too many espresso martinis," John and Jonah have been touring all the very gay places – Provincetown, Puerto Vallarta, New York City, San Francisco– and descend on the Rabbit Box on Sept 20.

Governor Kyle +Pluto Ivy + Zoser
The Rabbit Box presents Governor Kyle + Pluto Ivy + Zoser
Saturday, June 6th // Doors 7:30pm // Show 8pm
Governor Kyle is an independent artist blending digestible storytelling into a sound that feels both personal and big. Drawing inspiration from everyday experiences, her music lives somewhere between indie pop, alternative r&b, and bedroom-produced honesty. Rooted in authenticity and driven by a DIY spirit, Governor Kyle continues to carve out her own lane.
Pluto Ivy is a reggae band bringing together soulful grooves, uplifting energy, and a modern Pacific Northwest spirit. Blending classic reggae influences with elements of rock, funk, and contemporary songwriting, the band creates a sound that is both laid-back and vibrant. Known for their engaging live performances and feel-good atmosphere, Pluto Ivy delivers music that celebrates connection, positivity, and the simple joy of getting lost in the rhythm.
Zoser is a singer/songwriter and music bender whose music has no boundaries. With a soulful voice, thoughtful lyrics, and a guitar, his music shifts seamlessly between pop, hip-hop, R&B, and folk. As an emerging Seattle artist, Zoser began playing guitar when he was just 10-years-old. By the age of 12, he began penning his own lyrics and performing to local audiences in his hometown of Augusta, Georgia. He made his recording debut in 2019 with the EP release “Genesis” followed by the EP “Evolve” in 2020, independently recorded and released. Currently he is working on an album with Loosegroove Records, a Seattle based record label founded by Stone Gossard (of Pearl Jam) and Regan Hagar. Zoser has crafted a sound that is wholly and undeniably his own. The result is something spectacular to behold: a voice that conveys a world-weary ache and a bright optimism, and a sense of musicality that is both rhythmic and infectiously melodic. He is a singer, a storyteller and something of a revelation – not necessarily a soul singer but something rarer and more precious – a singer with soul.

The Rabbit Box presentsBlack Thunder ft. Brittany Davis,D’Vonne Lewisand Evan Flory-Barnes

$25 adv. https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/black-thunder-2026-05-29-the-rabbit-box-theatre-seattle-dae330
Black Thunder is the new studio album by acclaimed Seattle-based artist Brittany Davis. Arriving on Loosegroove Records, a label founded by Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard, the profound, fully improvised, fully realized collection, recalls artists like Nina Simone, Roberta Flack and Rahsaan Roland Kirk in its immersive, incantatory spirit. Produced by Josh Evans, it features Davis on keys and vocals, Evan Flory-Barnes on bass, and D’Vonne Lewis on drums.
The trio — who barely knew each other prior to recording together — improvised Black Thunder in a surge of interactive creativity across two days in the studio. The short window in which to work did away with overthinking and brought each musician’s A-game. Steeped in Black and Afrocentric cultural influences, this is Davis’s most poignant and cathartic work to date.
“Brittany, Evan, and D’Vonne have, in some way, been preparing for this recording all their lives. Honing their instrumental craft and ability, of course — but more importantly, preparing their ears, emotions, and egos to be fully present and create absolutely in the moment,” Evans says. “To listen deeply and respond empathetically. To speak with uncomfortable honesty. To listen, and be vulnerable.”
Davis — who has been blind since birth — arrives at Black Thunder via considerable headwinds. In 2023, she released her debut album, Image Issues, also via Loosegroove Records. It was met by critical hosannas. As NPR’s All Songs Considered put it, "Brittany's music is a potent expression of hope...giving the listener courage to face the challenges the world throws at them." And American Songwriter hailed her “voice that would fill the deepest cavern. The blind singer/songwriter is a marvel and not for any reason other than she is dripping with talent and presence.” Davis was featured on ABC’s Good Morning America, which noted, “She uses her music to connect with people and fight for a more inclusive world.”
Black Thunder marks a shift away from Image Issues’ contemporary soul-funk sound built upon drum machines and programmed keys; instead opting for a fully live, organic performance, one that showcases her stylistic maturation, pure expression and the breadth of her versatility.
In the opening piece, “All You Get,” Davis introduces herself on the piano with a pensive, one-note octave rhythm; Flory-Barnes joins them with a hypnotic pulse. Lewis completes the triangulation with a shaker, then drums. “The groove is locked in,” Evans says with a smile. “The ceremony has begun”
Cassandra Lewis
The Rabbit Box presents Cassandra Lewis
Thursday, May 28th / Doors 7pm / Show 8pm
All Ages until 10pm - ID Required
GA $25 / VIP $50 (Vintage/merch pop up, possible burlesque, Cass-aoke (Cass-ee-Okee) post show ) https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/cassandra-lewis-2026-05-28-the-rabbit-box-theatre-seattle-472f1f
Nashville-based singer and songwriter Cassandra Lewis brings her signature Cosmic Americana to life with a kaleidoscopic blend of classic country, psychedelic soul, and cinematic storytelling. Known for her powerhouse vocals and unfiltered emotionality, Lewis channels a life lived across continents and chaos — from being born on a converted WWII base in Nuremberg to a childhood of constant moves, small-town grit, and eventually the wild spiral of houselessness and heartbreak that shaped her voice.
Her sound has been described by press as a “tapestry of cosmic Americana, retro soul, and country gold” (No Depression), and she jokes that her music is like “Dolly Parton on acid. Janis Joplin on Jesus.”
Her major-label debut, Lost in a Dream (Elektra/Low Country Sound), produced by Dave Cobb, solidified her as one of Americana’s most arresting new artists. The album, praised for its cinematic sweep and emotional depth, climbed into the Top 15 on AAA radio, with her breakout single “So Bad” edging the Top 10. Her earlier independent record Always, All Ways hit #1 on KEXP’s Americana chart, earning her a devoted following even before her major-label introduction.
On stage, Lewis is a force. Raw, hilarious, transcendent, and impossible to forget. She has toured with Allen Stone and Charley Crockett, and delivered standout performances at Farm Aid with Willie Nelson, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Pilgrimage Festival, Bumbershoot, BeachLife Ranch, and the Ryman Auditorium. Each appearance expands the world she builds in her songs: gritty, unhinged, tender, mystical, and always rooted in human truth.
Now fully independent, Cassandra is entering a bold new era… unbound, cinematic, and fearlessly her own. With her third studio album, In Love + War, arriving in 2026 with a raw, electric tour planned to follow, she continues carving her own lane as one of the most arresting voices in modern Americana.
Make sure to follow for the release of her third studio album, In love + war, with the first single "American Sickness" set to release on may 16, 2026.

Generifusis the music project of Washington State native Spencer Sult. Beginning in 2005, Sult has written, recorded and released around twenty LPs, Eps, Singles and Compilations working with K Records, Bud Tapes, Anything Bagel and his own Sultan Serves label. Generifus has toured the USA many times and Japan once via car, train, Greyhound bus and plane. A “Best Of” compilation was released in late 2025 by Perpetual Doom, assembling 15 of the best songs recorded over the lengthy span of Generifus’ existence.
St. Yuma began its journey in 2015 in Seattle, WA. It has served as the creative outlet for Stevan Alva, a California native. After spending an extended period in Texas, Stevan returned to Washington in the spring of 2022. Following the release of "Country Sleight of Hand" recorded at The Unknown in Anacortes, WA, in 2024, a new album is set to be released in March of 2026 Entitled “Trout Man” St. Yuma's most ambitious work yet. Drawing on inspiration from artists such as Silver Jews, Damien Jurado, and various other artists from the 60’s & 70’s.
Where's Bethvoice and lyrics clear as glass, Where’s Beth (project of Sarabeth Weszely) carries the kind of honesty that makes a room go still. Raised in the Midwest and trained as a writer, Weszely brings a literary sensibility to her songs, shaped by close observation and restraint. She lived seven years in New York City, where she recorded for my mom & other lovers (2022) and Bone Broth (2024). These early releases introduced her devotion to shared domestic spaces and the emotional textures of the mundane. Her sophomore album Ache Is A Cricket In The Night continues this exploration of everyday life but widens its emotional landscape. Across its songs, Weszely writes in tiny weather systems: a fridge that stops humming, a clogged drain gurgling like human pain, strangers pointing out untied shoes in the grocery line, white ants burrowing through wood at dusk. These images widen into reflections on grief, anger, the quiet accumulation of loss, and the ordinary ache of being alive. Recorded live in Weszely’s Seattle home studio, Ache Is A Cricket In The Night trusts presence over perfection. It does not rush toward resolution but stays, listens, offering itself as a companion and trusting that even the smallest details can hold entire emotional worlds.

This season will run from February through June, and we plan to pick it back up again in August 2026 for the next season.”

Come slow it down with us at this month’s Astro Salon celebrating Taurus, the second sign of the zodiac with hosts, hannah ramone and Kaylee Cole.
Taurus is a fixed earth sign ruled by Venus. Venus is the planet of love, beauty, adornment, and values, so come ready to ground together and explore your senses.
We’ll have Taurus-themed learning activities, jewelry making, and a community plant swap. Bring a plant you’re ready to trade and send it home with a new caretaker.
We’ll also sing songs from your favorite Taurus artists, welcome two special Taurus guests, and spend the afternoon learning, creating, and hanging out together. Join us for round two of The Astro Salon.
Dress code is Venusian, meaning: whatever makes you feel irresistible and at ease. Think soft fabrics, high-quality earthy tones, natural materials, feminine silhouettes, silk and linen, neutrals, light pinks, deep greens, sea-foam and shell hues, and plant- and earth-inspired prints.

Eli Moore was born in Seattle in 1978. At age 5, his family would leave the city to homestead on remote Whidbey Island, where Eli would grow up spending free time taping music off the radio. Paula Abdul, INXS, and Bruce Hornsby flaunted evidence of a freer world. At 13, he’d hear “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” and in a fandom trance, walk to Casey’s grocery store to purchase Nevermind on cassette. His appetite for music would grow alongside an inconvenient urge to do more than just listen. In 1999, he’d move to Bellingham, WA, for college and follow the thread to increasingly approachable and local music—Lou Barlow, Built to Spill, Dear Nora, K Records. He’d surrounded himself with this music and its people, but self-doubt kept him from tending to his ache to create. In 2001, while night-swimming in Puget Sound’s phosphorescent waters, he found himself pulled out to sea. As he fought to make it back to land, he thought he heard the words: “Don’t let me catch you while you’ve still got things to do.” This near-death experience literally gave voice to the precious wish Eli had been sheltering from the world. He busted open. Eli now resides with his wife and musical partner, Ashley Eriksson. Together, they lead LAKE, a band that has spanned two decades and produced numerous albums. He has collaborated with notable artists such as Karl Blau, Laura Veirs, and First Aid Kit, and records in his home studio, a familiar cabin in the woods. As Eli prepares for the release of the first official solo album he considers, he draws from a rich background of community, collaboration, and solitary devotion.

Some folks are lucky to find what they love to do at an early age and quietly settle in for the long haul expanding and developing their work over the arc of a lifetime. Willy Porter is one of those artists. He has followed his own path to explore the sacred language that music truly is. 30 years after his solo recording debut, he continues to reach further into his guitar & pen while stretching the form of what his own music can be. He recently released his 13th full length album, The Ravine, in 2023.
Where's Beth ~ Claire Tucker (trio) ~ C. Martí
The Rabbit Box presents Where's Beth ~ Claire Tucker (trio) ~ C. Martí
Friday, May 8th / Doors 7pm / Music 8pm
$18 adv. / $20 door : https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/where-s-beth-claire-tucker-trio-c-marti-2026-05-08-the-rabbit-box-theatre-seattle-3cc996
Voice and lyrics clear as glass, Where’s Beth (project of Sarabeth Weszely) carries the kind of honesty that makes a room go still. Claire Tucker is an eclectic Seattle-based singer-songwriter noted for her distinctive voice, evocative lyrics, and nuanced whammy-bar technique. She is perhaps marginally better known as the lead vocalist/guitarist/songwriter for Loose Wing. Her most recent album, "Revelers" was released in the final weeks of 2024, too late for consideration for any best-of lists, but that's OK. She'll be accompanied by vocalist Billie Bloom (Von Wildenhaus, Stargazr), and Olie Eshleman (Corespondents, Annie Ford Band) on guitar and pedal steel.

Bert Walpack is a tall, gray haired, lanky, waspy, father of three who runs a dental practice during the day but keeps his smoldering comedy career alive at night. Now living in Eugene, Oregon he performs throughout country on his “Oral Fixation” show. He likes to tell jokes about what it is like to hold needles and drills in people’s mouth. Bert has performed in the Hell Yes Comedy Festival, the B4Udie Comedy Festival, the Portland Maine Festival and Don’t Tell Comedy shows. Born and raised in rural New Jersey, Bert has lived in his second home state of Oregon since 2007. Dr.Walpack recently received his Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD). A Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD) is one of the highest awards that a dentist can receive, with only 2% of General Dentists nationally receiving this level of distinction. He is also a Diplomate with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
