"Federico Aubele returns to Rabbitbox, celebrating the release of his latest acoustic album. Following a year of extensive touring with an intimate, minimalist setup, Aubele captured the magic of these live performances in the studio. The album features fan-favorite songs reimagined in their purest form—just his Spanish guitar and his velvety baritone voice.

The setlist spans Aubele’s entire catalog, alongside new songs, creating a deeply emotional journey that resonates with themes of love, loss, struggle, and the search for meaning. Listeners are invited to reflect, relive cherished memories, and find personal connections through the raw beauty of his music."

“The Leonard Cohen of Argentina because of the sound of his voice and the literate nature of his writing…amazing lyrics" - NPR

Ellis Paul doesn’t just write songs; he’s a guitar-carrying reporter who covers the human condition and details the hopes, loves, losses of those he observes, turning their stories into luminous pieces of music that get under your skin and into your bloodstream. And much like the artists who have influenced him, everyone from Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and Paul Simon to the singer-songwriter who is undoubtedly his greatest inspiration, Woody Guthrie, Paul weaves deeply personal experiences with social issues and renders them as provocative works that are as timely as they are timeless. Born and raised in Maine, Paul attended Boston College on a track scholarship and in the evenings became a fixture on the city’s open mic circuit. After winning a Boston Acoustic Underground songwriter competition, he caught the ear of folk luminary Bill Morrissey, who produced his indie album Say Something in 1993. This led to a seven- album contract with Rounder Records and the 1994 album, Stories. His songs have appeared in several blockbuster films (Me, Myself, and Irene; Shallow Hal, Hall Pass) and have been covered by award winning country artists (Sugarland, Kristian Bush, Jack Ingram). Through a steady succession of albums of his own – a remarkable 23 releases so far – and a constant touring presence around the world, Paul’s audience has grown into a loyal legion of fans. Along the way, he has picked up an impressive number of awards including the prestigious Kerrville New Folk Award, 15 Boston Music Awards, An Honorary Doctorate from the University of Maine, the 2019 International Acoustic Music Awards Artist of the Year and most recently his album, The Storyteller’s Suitcase, was named the 2019 NERFA Album of the Year.

His new album “55” touches on the necessity of gratitude in a difficult era of the pandemic and divided political stances on his own imprint, Rosella Records. www.ellispaul.com

Braly Sangster with Loose Wing & Keith Lowe

The Rabbit Box presents Braly Sangster, Loose Wing & Keith Lowe

Saturday, May 3rd - Doors 7pm / Music 8pm

$20 adv. / $25 door:https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/braly-sangster-with-loose-wing-keith-lowe-2025-05-03-the-rabbit-box-theatre-seattle-e580d3

In the greatest duos, the dynamic between individuals generates a sound all its own. Voices and visions co-mingle completely, alchemizing into a union that transcends “complementary” or “contrasting.” While musician / producer Johnny Sangster and Pineola’s Leslie Braly are both established artists in their own right, the music they make as Braly Sangster owes everything to their chemistry. https://bralysangster.bandcamp.com/

Loose Wing is a Seattle-based indie rock band formed in 2019. Fronted by songwriter Claire Tucker, the band is known for its jangle-pop sound reminiscent of early R.E.M. and The Church. Their self-titled debut album was released in March 2022, and was praised by Rolling Stone for its "gritty take on indie pop" and "elegant incorporation of string accompaniment". https://loosewing.bandcamp.com/

Keith Lowe has over 40 years of performing experience on both electric and acoustic bass. He studied classically for 15 years and played in various orchestras before moving on to jazz and rock where he has toured and recorded with such artists as Fiona Apple, David Sylvian, Bill Frisell, Harold Budd, Wayne Horvitz and has been a member of the band BRAD since 2008. Since 2016 he has been a member of the orchestra for the legendary Teatro ZinZanni cirque and cabaret dinner theater. His diverse background and wide ranging and comprehensive approach to music has resulted in a tuneful, solid, and eclectic style that has him in demand both as a performer and studio musician. Keith recently released his first solo album entitled “The Other Half of Silence.” https://www.instagram.com/keith_lowe_bass/

The Rabbit Box presents June Star with Little Big Lights & Newhalem on May 7th

Baltimore Maryland’s June Star (Andrew Grimm and Dave Hadley), with aching vocals and plaintive folk arrangements, comes off like a Smog-era Bill Callahan if he had chosen to dive inward or The Jayhawks if they were more keen to stark emotional realism. Grimm’s rich baritone voice and Hadley’s atmospheric, elegiac pedal steel  brings a time-honored aesthetic to their unique tales of fractious love, quixotic anxiety, the looming shadow of death, and the promise of redemption. June Star has performed in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington DC and West Virginia. https://www.junestar.com/

Newhalem (“new-HAY-lum”) is the indie rock project of Seattle-based musician Robbie Lang, known for blending lush, atmospheric soundscapes with introspective songwriting. Influenced by Pacific Northwest legends like Pedro the Lion, Damien Jurado, Deep Sea Diver, Death Cab for Cutie, and Elliott Smith, Newhalem balances emotional depth with careful attention to texture, melody, and tone. Newhalem released an EP in March 2024, followed by a series of singles, with a full-length debut album set to arrive in 2025. linktr.ee/newhalem.music

Based out of Portland, Oregon, MAITA is the full-band vehicle for the songwriting of Maria Maita-Keppeler. MAITA first appeared back in 2017 around the release of the Waterbearer EP, some three years on, this week will see the release of their debut album, Best Wishes. The album, made partly in the splendid sounding 100-year-old Ok Theatre in Enterprise, Oregon, is coming out via Kill Rock Stars, whose founder Slim Moon liked the album so much, he came out of a twelve year retirement to spearhead the release.

Bryan John Appleby is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Seattle. His folk-centric body of work draws elements from mid-century pop, wall-of-sound, psychodelia, tropicália, and classic cinema. Appleby’s most recent effort, Underwater Easy Breathing (Plume Records) exemplifies a distinct production palette and fantastical tendencies. Lush, coastal, synth-laced; the album is a natural next step in his wandering, often densely layered folk repertoire. Previous works include The Narrow Valley (2015), a dense, maximalist concept album drenched in dreamy, orchestral layers and experimental sounds, and Fire on the Vine (2011), a darker collection with more conventional folk structures and instrumentation.

Some things are best left unsaid. But for Molly Lewis, they might be better whistled. In her wonderfully quirky world, lyrics are omitted and replaced with high-pitched chirps and trills. Across her debut album On the Lips, Lewis invites you to sit back and relax in her so-called Café Molly universe, where the music is as glittering and enticing as the romantic world it conjures up.  https://www.molly-lewis.com/

In less than forty minutes, we’re whisked through Nebraska, Maine, Arizona, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Texas, and Jurado’s home state of Washington, with stops in Seattle, Wenatchee, and Mount Rainier. The songs are addressed, often in epistolary form and always confidingly, to female interlocutors with names like Mary, Lucy, Vera, Alice, Mali H., Cindy Lee, Lou-Jean, and Florence-Jean. The dramatis personae include novelist Thomas Wolfe, inventor Garrett Morgan, sitcom actor Marvin Kaplan, easy-listening bandleaders Percy Faith and Ray Conniff, Peanuts creator Charles Schultz, that news anchor who was held hostage on-air, the guy who wrote “Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh,” the angel Moroni, Lucifer, and God.” - Brian Howe/Spin Magazine

$15 adv. / $18 door : https://www.venuepilot.co/venue_app/event_groups/71734/edit?date=2025-05-21&event_id=133036#/

Lady Queen Paradise is a blending of sound. A fantasy: folk songs on theatrical grounds. Impassioned performance and a sky-scraping range, Lady Queen Paradise lives within winds of change. ladyqueenparadise.net

Claire Tucker is an eclectic Seattle-based singer-songwriter noted for her distinctive voice, evocative lyrics, and nuanced whammy-bar technique. She is perhaps marginally better known as the lead vocalist/guitarist/songwriter for Loose Wing. Her most recent album,  "Revelers" was released in the final weeks of 2024, too late for consideration for any best-of lists, but that's OK. She'll be accompanied by vocalist Billie Bloom (Von Wildenhaus, Stargazr), and Olie Eshleman (Corespondents, Annie Ford Band) on guitar and pedal steel. https://clairetuckersongs.com/home

Where’s Beth is a folk-pop artist who recently relocated from NYC and is endlessly fascinated with the magical and the mundane. Drawing on her work as a poet and professional ghostwriter, songwriter Sarabeth has been called “a master at storytelling” (Glasse Factory) writing songs that are “poetic and playful and grounded in experience” (Various Small Flames). Making “ethereal folk in the vein of Cassandra Jenkins and Julia Jacklin” (We All Want Someone To Shout For), Sarabeth’s melodic and lyrical tendencies recall her longtime influences Sufjan Stevens and Joni Mitchell. Where’s Beth has released two albums and now records from home in Seattle. https://www.wheresbethmusic.com/

Beau Wood once said, “Your Jack’s sets feel like Saturday morning cartoons—if you had a fourth beer in hand and an uncounted cigarette burning nearby.” Kelsi Schacht rolls her eyes every time she catches him fishing for her once-genuine compliment: “You’re my favorite songwriter.” His 19-year-old brother, a college shortstop, keeps it simple: “Shit’s hard, dog.”  Men have cried, and he feels warm about that. The songs stay lyrically driven—with themes of simplicity, patience, and compassion—and a fingerpicked dreadnought to keep them moving. Think Winnie the Pooh with elsewhere eyes and spiked honey.

Just Clark is a singer-songwriter reviving the roots of American-made music. Digging into a woody sound that echoes through the hollers, Clark's music embodies a timeless resonance that harks back to the cherished sounds of classic Americana folk. From poet to picker, the native Texan conjures a sound as bright as the Lonestar herself.

Marika Clymer ~ backwoods dirtbag princess on the war path from the PNW.

Claire Willow is folk cellist and song-maker based in beautiful Bellingham, WA

Max Knouse with Arch Cape & Silver Torches

The Rabbit Box presents Max Knouse with Arch Cape ( Rachel Blumberg ) & Silver Torches ( Erik Walters ) on Thursday, June 5th.

Doors 6:30pm / Music begins at 7:30pm

$18 adv.: https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/max-knouse-with-arch-cape-silver-torches-2025-06-05-the-rabbit-box-theatre-seattle-45e768

Max Knouse’s voice feels like laughter that follows a well-loved joke. Only afterward, it dawns on you that you don’t fully understand the punchline. Or for that matter the set up. In fact, you’re not even sure what language the joke was told in. Known for his sessions and live shows with artists like Califone, Jolie Holland, Adan Jodorowsky, Psychic Temple, Simon Joyner, Alex Dupree, and others, Knouse has established himself as an essential factor in the West Coast indie pop underground, brandishing guitar chops that mirror the rawness of his voice; he treats his instrument like a divining rod of spiritual tension and joyful racket, pushing and pulling on it with affection and sometimes something darker. “ https://maxknouse.bandcamp.com/

Arch Cape is the experimental percussion-based solo project of musician and artist Rachel Blumberg. Rachel first made a name for herself as the drummer in The Decemberists, and later went on to play, record, and tour with many bands such as M.Ward, Bright Eyes, Mirah, Califone, and many more. Her live performances are largely improvisational and set to her animated and collaged films. https://www.rachelblumberg.com/archcapemusic

Performing emotionally powerful pop tunes that are by turns languid and urgent, Silver Torches is an indie rock band led by vocalist and songwriter Erik Walters. A native of Seattle, Washington. https://silvertorches.bandcamp.com/

Summer Solstice Show featuring Brenna Bruce + Bad Posture Club + Sophia Corinne + Wiseacre (duo)

The Rabbit Box presents Summer Solstice Show featuring Brenna Bruce + Bad Posture Club + Sophia Corinne + Wiseacre (duo) on June 20th.

Doors 7pm / Music 8pm

$15 adv. / $18 door : https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/summer-solstice-show-featuring-brenna-bruce-bad-posture-club-sophia-corinne-wiseacre-duo-2025-06-20-t-53433c

Brenna Bruce is a singer-songwriter based in Seattle. Following a path of curiosity and introspection, her music moves with a quiet power, balancing sharpness and tenderness with an understood patience. Bruce pulls from the tradition of vulnerable folk through delicate and crystalline vocal prowess akin to Courtney Marie Andrews and Emmylou Harris, with the simplicity and focus of Gillian Welch’s storytelling. On her forthcoming debut EP Honest Bloom, Bruce weaves ambling stories of the heart with peripheral landscapes passing through the deserts, rivers, and mountains of her past in the southwest, and present in the Pacific Northwest. Honest Bloom inhabits spaces of liminality and cyclical growth, spinning themes of connection, belonging, and becoming, with lilting pedal steel and string arrangements, tethered by pulsing percussion and the intentional delivery of Brenna’s vocal harmonies carrying each sentiment to fruition. Honest Bloom is a capsule of time, reckoning with the ever-unfolding path of being and learning life’s lessons, and Brenna Bruce is an artist burgeoning with timeless truths. https://www.brennabrucemusic.com/

Bad Posture Club is a queer folk duo made up of Maren Day and Morgan Kavanagh, collaborators for over 10 years. Together they craft intricate and experimental harmonies with their two voices, banjo, guitar, and a 100-year-old pump organ. https://badpostureclub.net/

Sophia Corinne harvests poetry for the lines of each song from her life, one lived paying attention. Her songs offer the companionship of something beautiful for us to hold close in any season. Since 2021 she has been tending a garden of folk songs and diy shows, releasing multiple EPs and touring extensively across North America. She is currently based in Asheville NC, where she lives in a tiny home. https://sophiacorinne.com/

Wiseacre, the folk-rock outfit, hails from Seattle, WA. As a natural storyteller, Kaje Wise, Wiseacre’s songwriter & leader, aims to bring the audience into their intimate and sometimes visionary world. The band reaches new heights, getting heavier and heavier as time passes, while still holding the delicate nature of Wise’s songwriting. https://wiseacrerockz.bandcamp.com/

Some folks are lucky to find what they love to do at an early age and quietly settle in for the long haul expanding and developing their work over the arc of a lifetime. Willy Porter is one of those artists. He has followed his own path to explore the sacred language that music truly is. 30 years after his solo recording debut, he continues to reach further into his guitar & pen while stretching the form of what his own music can be. He recently released his 13th full length album, The Ravine, in 2023.

“Willy plays rhythms that make me want to crawl inside his guitar and sleep there forever.“ — Tori Amos

“Willy Porter captures the street corner ethic of acoustic performance perfectly.“ — The Village Voice

SAN FRANCISCO INDIE-ROCKER nerd Megan Slankard and her band The Wreckage have independently sold over 50,000 copies of six self-released albums. Their latest record, “California & Other Stories,” which was Co-Produced with Nashville producer Alex Wong, (Delta Rae, Vienna Teng, Elizabeth & The Catapult,) showcases new sides of Megan's music, balancing delightfully belligerent rock and roll with cinematic soundscapes of orchestral instruments and robot harmonies. https://www.meganslankard.com/

For those who roamed the Seattle music scene in the early 2000s, Chris Stanley was a staple—a performer whose presence and talent resonated deeply with audiences. After a years-long hiatus dedicated to studying medicine in the wake of his mother’s passing, Chris cemented his return with the release of his self-titled EP last fall. Recorded at the legendary London Bridge Studio with producer Eric Lilavois, with contributions rom Andrew Joslyn of the Seattle Symphony and members of Heart, the EP quickly made waves across the U.S., France, and the UK, solidifying Stanley’s place in the realm of contemporary adultsongwriting. Chris has since reunited with that talented group for his latest single “Run” on Lotus Music Label and is set to release on all streaming platforms at midnight after his solo show here at The Rabbit Box Theatre!

Rae is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and producer combining pop sensibility with folk roots to tell intimate stories driven by evocative melodies. With a voice likened to Amy Winehouse and Brandi Carlile’s lovechild, Rae learned young to let nature animate her music, expressing themes of love, loss, and renewal through metaphors of the natural world, keeping empathy and self-awareness at the heart of every song.

Sunday Evening with Jesse Sykes

"I've always wanted to play The Rabbit Box since its inception some years back, as it's become my favorite music room in Seattle, so it's truly a joy to get to kick off our April tour supporting Black Mountain ( which begins in LA) at the magical Rabbit Box Theatre! A lot of love and vision went into creating such a wondrous space, tenderly and diligently carved out from the ghostly bones of dusty old Pike Place Market.  I sure do plan to conjure that world I used to know and love so well, when Pike Street and Pike Place truly was my world (in the 90s) and I learned from some of the best back then. Please come see what I learned;) - Jesse Sykkes

Jesse Sykes And The Sweet Hereafter, is the result of the enduring musical alchemy between singer-songwriter Jesse Sykes and guitarist Phil Wandscher, which began in Seattle, Washington in 2001. Blending folk, blues, country, orchestral pop, and various psychedelic stylings, their sound culminates in what Jon Pareles from the New York Times once described as, “spellbound music, rapt in fatalism and sorrow.”

Known for her dusky, otherworldly vocals and lyrics that touch on the metaphysical, All Music added;  "whether the sonic setting is one of doomy distortion or fragile finger picking, Sykes remains a truly unique vocalist whose dusky voice is capable of imparting a transcendent, almost spiritual quality to almost any tune it touches."
In recent times Sykes and Wandscher often appear as a duo, or are joined onstage with bassist Bill Herzog, an original Sweet Hereafter member (and decades long member of seminal Northwest legends, Earth.)

The trio recently returned from Europe where they had the honor of supporting avant-garde doom purveyors Sunn O))), who Sykes, Herzog and Wandscher are also known for collaborating and performing with.
They are presently preparing the release of their 5th record, after a very long recording hiatus, and are thrilled to be heading out this April, back on tour, but are especially thrilled to be playing Seattle's beloved Rabbit Box Theatre.

The Rabbit Box is excited to present Black Viiolet & Dracu on April 11th!

BLACK VIIOLET
is the new solo project of Nicole Laurenne (lead singer and founder of Alternative Tentacles all-girl garage punk band The Darts (US)). In Black Viiolet, Nicole steps away from her rock persona into a sultry, neosoul, vintage-jazz-inspired, triphop-tinged, spy-movie experience, invoking candlelit jazz clubs and back-alley speakeasies. Fronting the group on vocals and keys, Nicole is backed by top-tier jazz musicians on double bass, live drums over electronic beats, and a full horn section. In its first year of existence, Black Viiolet has released an EP (now in its second pressing) and an LP, toured Europe and the US several times, and garnered rave reviews from critics and broad airplay on both continents. "Open your ears to the unique, new view of vintage torch music from Black Viiolet and you may discover your new favorite singer.” - Abe Beeson, The New Cool, KNKX (Seattle).

Dracu has received many awards for his one-of-a-kind voice, songwriting and guitar-playing, but is also notoriously known for his opposition to the mainstream and his deep love for cultural awareness. No streaming, no trends, but real people and real shows. Dracu likes to get to know his crowd as he offers them a beautiful mixture of rock&soul music, handmade with no extras. Whereever the 32-year old guitar-slinger goes, he brings his bag of inspiring stories, his unmatched energyand presence to the stage.Raised by old Blues and Hardrock from the 70s, and modern Heavy-Metal of northern Europa alike,Dracu knows how to combine skill and feeling to make his songs accessible, no matter if one isyoung, old, a blues-lover or a headbanger. “Sure, I was a huge student of Jimi Hendrix, Muddy Waters or Deep Purple, but Turbonegro or Children of Bodom mean just as much to me. So this really is all natural for me. ” ~ Dracu

SUPER-KREWE
: Seattle’s very own New Orleans styled brass band, comprised of seasoned Seattle based musicians that have been performing together for over 15 years. The ‘Krewe' aims to explore the rhythmic and melodic realms of pocket, groove and space while paying homage to NOLA second line traditions and street performance party vibes reminiscent of late night memories of the French Quarter.

One can expect to hear performances of original music in addition to hand selected covers/standards ranging from early 1920’s traditional jazz to 1960’s soul and funk, modern pop, rock and electronic music. Though their original music is not genre specific, it is heavily rooted in the improvisational traditions of New Orleans music a.k.a. JAZZ. The band platform acts as a melting pot for the ‘Krewe’ to bring together their collective musical ideas, experiences and energy to assemble new and familiar sounds, textures and feelings into music that inspires us all to celebrate the one life that we’ve all got to live. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Sign-ups will be the night of & the list fills up quickly, so if you want to perform, you’d better get there early…

If you’re going to perform, keep it under 5 MINUTES. That’s right: 5 MINUTES. WE WILL TIME YOU. And we will hug you when we have to stop you [just to make it easier on you (or harder – depending on your propensity for intimacy)].

Poetry, prose, music, dancing, comedy, drama, happy, sad, & on & on & on… Remember: EVERYTHING GOES… so do whatever you want.

You don’t have to perform anything; the audience is as essential as the performers.

Please don’t perform anything with a setup that takes much more time than the time it takes for you to walk onstage. Honestly, plugging things in is endlessly boring. If you need to borrow an instrument, figure it out before you’re called to the stage.

Masta Killa - Balance Tour

Masta Killa, one of the original members of the iconic Wu-Tang Clan & his DJ are in Seattle on his Balance Tour album release at The Rabbit Box Theatre for one night only!

"My hip hop name was given to me by the Clan. “Master Killer” is actually the name of a Shaw Brothers kung-fu movie. In it, the main character, who is not from Shaolin, studies Kung-Fu at Shaolin to go back and help his people who are oppressed by the government. I’m not actually from Shaolin, I’m from Brooklyn, but I went to Staten Island and learned the Wu-Tang style of rhyming, so my story kind of relates to the Master Killer story. Now, you hear the name ‘Masta Killa’ and it sounds violent, but it simply means to be a master of your craft. Kill doesn’t always mean something negative. When someone does something perfectly we say “He killed it.” That’s all I want to do. Each time I write a lyric or perform I want to be a master of my craft so I can make you to say I killed it." https://open.spotify.com/artist/0ME1RawvWt3qOJnYnxVqeh

SOLD OUT!!!

Kris Delmhorst is an American songwriter, singer, instrumentalist, and producer. Over more than 25 years as an independent artist, she has built a body of work characterized by a wide-ranging, genre-agnostic curiosity and constant collaboration. In addition to nine critically acclaimed studio albums, she’s written songs and score for films and TV, produced albums for Session Americana and Jeremy Moses Curtis, contributed instrumentation and vocals to scores of other artists’ work, and performed thousands of shows across the US and Europe. Kris Delmhorst lives in western Massachusetts with her husband, the songwriter Jeffrey Foucault, and their daughter. https://www.krisdelmhorst.com/

“bold and brilliant” - Irish Times
“literate and allusive” - Boston Globe
“moody, euphoric and transcendent” - LA Times

It’s rare for an artist to bridge the divide between critical acclaim and dedicated fan engagement. Chris Pureka is a Portland-based singer-songwriter whose body of work has resonated deeply with these seemingly disparate milieus. Their music has straddled the folk, americana and indie rock genres over the course of their 20 year career, and over that time, their bold vulnerability in processing the intimacies of life in song has struck a chord with those listeners who crave authenticity and depth.

Chris’s elegant emotionality as a vocalist and their flair as a lyricist have garnered them favorable comparisons to Chan Marshall, Bruce Springsteen, and Patty Griffin. Over many years of touring on both sides of the Atlantic, they have shared the stage with such diverse and esteemed artists as The Lumineers, Gregory Alan Isakov, The Cowboy Junkies, Haley Heynderickx, and Ani DiFranco. They have had their songs featured on such television shows as Brothers and Sisters, Covert Affairs and Shameless and well as a song featured in the Sundance featured indie film, The Royal Road. Along the way, Chris has remained truly independent, selling nearly 50,000 albums through their own label, Sad Rabbit Records.

" Arthur James and Charles Wicklander Present: A Night of Tender Songs"

" Arthur James and Charles Wicklander Present: A Night of Tender Songs" featuring Miguel Escobar, Charles Wicklander, Kelsey Sprague, Arthur James and
Young Chhaylee on March 22nd at The Rabbit Box

Doors 6:30pm - Music begins at 7:30pm

$18 adv. / $20 door : https://tickets.venuepilot.com/e/arthur-james-and-charles-wicklander-present-a-night-of-tender-songs-2025-03-22-the-rabbit-box-theatre-81cdeb

Born in Riverside, California, the oldest child in a military family, Arthur James has been traveling all his life. His songs are the landmarks of his journey and they paint vivid landscapes of the many thousands of miles he’s seen in a struggle to find the meaning of ‘home’.
His lyricism lends to his patience and attention to the substance of every song, with nods to his influences, Gregory Alan Isakov, David Bazan, Beth Orton, Brandi Carlile, Dolores O'Riordan and John K. Samson.

From Seattle Washington, multi-instrumentalist Charles Wicklander combines psychedelic soundscapes with the wonders of the natural world, creating a uniquely cosmic experience. Wicklander released his debut solo record ‘Beyond the Evening Sun’ in June of 2022, weaving together mystic tapestries of experience and a wonder for nature and harmony. As a recording artist and live performer, Wicklander strives to incorporate his peers’ talents into his original music by featuring many of them on vocal harmonies, counter melodies, and instrumental solos, thereby shaping a collaborative musical landscape. With plans to release another solo record this year, Wicklander will continue to expand his circle, and channel this magical world around us through his music.

Young-Chhaylee is a singer/songwriter from The PNW. Elements of soul, pop, and folk have melded to create a sound that resonates from within. His voice is powerful yet flutters. Simultaneously strong and vulnerable.
Whether solo, duo, trio, or more, the energy of each performance is uniquely for that moment.

Miguel Escobar, Chicago-born concept artist interested in socially-conscious self-inquiry, slow deliberation, and sounds that make a big brown man feel beautiful.

Kelsey Sprague Band plays dream-folk, filling festivals, venues, and living rooms throughout the PNW.
Kelsey, backed by an all-star band, manages to convey something beautiful and simultaneously desperate. Through dreamy melodies and irresistible pop hooks drenched in rich harmonies, reverb and nostalgia, Kelsey tells stories of the many facets of the heart, deep and bittersweet, light and romantic, lulling and full are all ways to describe this Dream-folk Bedroom Pop delight. Influences range from more retro sounds like Connie Francis, The Beatles and Patsy Cline to more contemporary artists like Neko Case, Rilo Kiley, and Brandie Carlisle.
