Seattle-born Nonmodern combines electric rock with psychedelic, shoegaze and grunge nuances in their debut “The World Won’t Listen.” Formed by Rolf Berteig, John Massoni and Liz Wick, the trio channels decades of life experience into a sound that mixes attitude and sound sophistication. Each guitar and percussion seeks to release the tension of reality, creating intense and catchy landscapes that challenge labels and offer a sound experience that is both visceral and visionary, showing the expansive potential of contemporary rock. - FREIM.TV Dreamy, hypnotic, and emotional, Nondmodern is a Seattle rock band with influences ranging from 60's psych and garage to 80's postpunk and goth to 90s shoegaze and grunge. Nonmodern features a rich history of past Seattle bands like Weather Theater and Feast, with John Massoni on vocals and guitar, Eva Massoni on vocals, Liz Wick on bass, and Rolf Berteig on drums. They perform new songs, songs from John Massoni's past bands, and select covers. - from JohnMassoni.com John Massoni is a singer-songwriter from Seattle who's past bands are A Western Family, Weather Theater, Maxine, along with solo work. His last album Think Of My When You Hear Waves was released in 2023 through SpaceAge Recordings. He has also worked with Sonic Boom from Spacemen 3 and Panda Bear fame. Currently, John is releasing music as a solo artist while also releasing music with his band Nonmodern. Both available through all streaming sites, YouTube, and Bandcamp
