Josiah Flores & Hank Lemon

  • The Rabbit Box Theatre 94 Pike Street Seattle, WA, 98101 United States (map)

Straight from San Francisco, Josiah Flores and his band are celebrating his new album release from Speakeasy Studios SF “Doin’ Fine”. From dancin’ numbers to sad bastard ballads, Flores’ show is bound to move you or make you move on the dance floor.

Part-time poet turned melodic storyteller, Chicano singer/songwriter Josiah Flores puts music to the parts of life most tend to hide from. From the foothills of south San Jose to the foggy avenues of San Francisco, he calls the Bay Area his home. Influenced by the likes of Stoney Edwards, Freddy Fender, Willie Dunn, and Waylon Jennings, if one were to sit in a dimly-lit corner of their local watering hole, hunched over a beer, they would find Josiah’s songs sitting down next to them. https://josiahflores.bandcamp.com/

Hank Lemon is the solo project of Naked Giants' bombastic drummer and co-founder, Henry LaVallee. The northwest rocker-turned-folkie has taken insights from living on the road and set them to his own style of acoustic songwriting and sensory storytelling. With inspirations ranging from Dylan to Fairport Convention, Hank Lemon's music is a familiar freshness to saturated ears. https://hanklemon.bandcamp.com/
