1st Annual “Bryce Makela’s “Harry Nilsson’s ‘The Point!’” Live Score”

  • The Rabbit Box Theatre 94 Pike Street Seattle, WA, 98101 United States (map)

Join us for a spring evening as we celebrate Harry Nilsson’s songwriting through one of his most obscure projects; the animated film “The Point!”. It’s the story of Oblio, a boy born without a point in a land where everyone and everything has one. Oblio and his best friend, his dog, Arrow set out on a journey to find the point.

Sunday, May 17th / Doors 6pm / Show 7pm

Bryce Makela has gathered a host of musicians to perform the films score live, in sync with the screening. Expect dazzling flute, soft percussion, and steady piano to bring Harry Nilsson’s composition to life. Featuring Bryce Makela on piano and vocals, Evan Cox on drums, Ray Makela on flute/sax, Brenda Hunt on harmonies, Nonda Trimis on percussion, Steve Ryals on horns, and Julian Weisman on bass. Bryce Makela is a Seattle based songwriter, always chasing the electric blue lightning thread of magic that seems to dance around whenever live music warms a room.
